Does anyone know of a ex-city squad player called Mo Bokota, Not sure if that is the proper spelling of his name. But my brother does tennis training and my dad got chatting to someone who has a son that also does tennis and he claims that he played for city in the years between 1996 and 1998. Not sure if this is lies but any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

He was definitly at the club for a bit, didn't think i was as long ago as that though. He never played for the first team although i belive there were some decent reports of him playing for the reserves.

Momonnais Bokota was signed by Joe Jordan in his second spell, stayed about a year and was released.

He then had a trial with Riovers but they didn't offer him terms.

Although he was a striker he didn't score a single goal for the ressies!

Spot on.

Another "great prospect" slowly disapeared. I saw him play for the reserves a few times and was nothing special.

Now that surprises me...I know those responsible for city stats had discussed him before...maybe they just didn't get to him.

He was indeed a city player....I remember having pics of him on my old City website R.I.P.

A quick google found he is now working for Jamie Shore's soccer school

Interesting.....I thought he left because he couldn't adapt to the English lifestyle and here is back again....

mo is also working at St.Pauls Sports academy doing some bits n pieces sports coaching and is also scouting for Lille in the French league. He is the nicest bloke you could find, career never really got started and then it ended through injury anyway

Correct, he has a soccer skills centre at St Pauls. He was also running some soccer school at Whitchurch Sports Centre at least for a short spell earlier this season. My son attended and I met the guy. Decent bloke and really patient when it came to coaching about twenty 5 to 7 year old kids.

Ha! That would be me. He's not on Citystats because he never played for the first team. There are a few players on there that break this rule, but I've not got round to putting Mommy up.

He was one of my favourite players simply because of his complete and utter inability to be any good. Poor chap was apparently superb at the skillful stuff like keepy uppies etc. but was worse than useless in a team situation.

He was at the club around the same time as Jehad Muntasser who also never got in the first team. Jehad went on to play in the Italian league including a stint in Serie A. Mommy went on to play for Yate.

Ah, happy memories!
