S****horpe←Oldham will be the surprise team next season. They're losing all their overpaid hangers on and in Ronnie Moore they have a manager that knows how to get out of this pi$$ awful division. Scunny will struggle, as will Chesterfield, Walsall (if Merson stays) and Port Vale. Surprise strugglers will be Bournemouth.

Guest markreynolds1986
Nobodys mentioned Barnsley. They seem to be losing a lot of their best players and just seem to be on a downward spiral. Id go for:21 Barnsley22 Chesterfield23 Swindon24 Port ValeBut what do I know? I predicted Luton to struggle and Hull for mid table last year.←if those four go down il eat my cat , yup my cat , i would have to purchase a cat first but I'm prepared to do it

Rumour has it (on official site) that we're about to begin negotiations with Parkin's people.King's ability to bring in pretty good unheard of new players should see us far away from the bottom four next season.I'm enjoying reading the amount of "Swindon to go down" predictions... gazareth
Swindon should be safe. Even if they lose their top players they've got enough to avoid the drop.I remember Oldham being absolutely terrible at AG last season, unless they improve sharpish then they have to be odds-on to go down. I would have thought Chesterfield and Blackpool could be down there too.

PhatWill
Hang on, we don't even know who's going to be in the league next season!Lincoln or Southend could well be relegation elects.Huddersfield and MK Dons will be the suprise packages next season.Huddersfield won their last 6 games of the season or something ridiculous like that - AND they threw away 2 goal leads against us TWICE last season.I really do expect to see them somewhere in the top four next season. Tunley Legend
My surprise packages for next year are Walsall and Blackpool (who absolutely played us off our own park for 45 minutes a few months ago). Gillingham will be up there. Not so sure about Forest.Oldham will improve but with Ronnie moore in charge it won't be pretty to watch.Chesterfield and Southend/Lincoln will struggle and I don't expect Yeovil to finish higher than mid-table.Lets hope Wednesday win this weekend. That will be a massive boost for us because Sturrock will improve them next season - guaranteed.

PhatWill
Anyone that thinks MK Dons are going down is severely deluded. Since Wilson has been in charge they've been in promotion form. They also have some very handy players, particularly youth.Expect a mid table placing for them next season, at worst. Guest Slinky
Anyone that thinks MK Dons are going down is severely deluded. Since Wilson has been in charge they've been in promotion form.←Wilson has had 27 games in charge at Milton Keynes with a record of -9 wins, 9 draws, 9 defeats.I make that 1.33 points per game. Spread that out over 46 games and they would get 61 points. That isn't promotion form, though it does show signs of delusion.Fair play, Danny Wilson helped get them out of the relegation zone (by default as Wrexham only finished below them after having 10 points deducted) but promotion winning form it wasn't. Guest annanimo
MK Dons are going nowhere and even their own players and fans will start the season expecting relegation. Chesterfield are almost certain to go down too, although they have an irritating habit of surviving.Tough call for the others - any from a whole range of teams, although personally think S****horpe are likely to go straight back down unless there is significant change to the squad. For promotion? I've predicted City for the last two years and it hasn't happened. Of the relegated teams, they haven't a chance really. Think Forest will struggle, as will Rotherham. Gillingham may do OK. If I'm being blunt I think Tranmere will walk it - with City in 2nd place.
bransonmo
Lot of predictions for Chesterfield going down. Wonder if Evatt wants to leave now. Tins made an offer for him during the season so obviously rates him. We sell some meat, he could be on the shopping list again and at 23 a good prospect.
