Lee Matthews

Lee made his home debut today and played very well and picked up the supporters club man of the match. He still only looks about 70% fit but is now getting a good run of games and hopefully his sharpness and fitness will return.

It is quite sad that a player who cant get into your first team looks head and shoulders above anything we have in ours but at the moment this is the way things are.

Lee received a good reception from the Rovers fans today and won the doubters over with an all action performance and some lovely touches.

yeh, sounded like he had a good game, glad he is beginning to show what he can do.

Hope he comes back to us and scores loads of goals :D

Don't even mind much if he scores a few for the rovers just to show what he is capable of.

Wow, but the rest of the team must be really ######## if a 70% fit Matthews looks good by comparison :P:P:P

We be pleased ole Lee be doin` well at the

Gas! Same here, we hope he get`s fully fit

over there and then comes back to challange

for a place in the first team! With the promotion

places hottin` up he could be a valuable asset

to the squad! Good luck to him! :D

he did play well, and was impressed. If he has a career at city is to be seen. Has to look after himself if he is down the pecking order? Was very brave when chants of "Matthews is a gashead" when making his speach! :D

Personally i dont want him to do well,

1. because we have enough head aches upfront without having another striker challenging for that spot, (if he came back)

2. he is at the gas. (hate to be cruel but i just dont like them. sorry)

3. If he does well i still dont think he will stay and we will feel like we have lost a good player for nothing...again.

All in all i like the guy and my reasons are very selfish, In a ideal world he would do well and come back and sign a new contract and score loads of goals. I hope that will happen but i just dont see it happenning.
