WesM
He doesn't want the job....simple as! At the current stage of his career, we should let him get on with producing the goods on the field and let somebody else (preferably not Tommy) lead the team. I think Matt Hill makes an excellent captain, he leads by example, always gives 120% and comes across as a good honest pro. He's young but established, he's one of us in so much as he is Bristolian so knows the score with what is expected from us as a captain. This doesn't involve going all the way to High Wycombe on a poxy Tuesday night and getting sent-off, costing his team the game!! Lest we forget Tommy's all to frequent moments of madness! brady bunch
correct - he does not want the job, feels it helps the likes of doc and Joe to develop. same as the MOM awards, he prefers one of the other players to get it. along with being our best footballer he is a darn nice bloke and modest too! Percy Parrot
I think it benefits us not to have Tins as skipper. He is like a 2nd captain in the middle of the park anyway- which is good. As we have it at the moment we have 2 captains on the pitch, working alongside each other. Doc as the motivator, Tins as the experienced head, and there to guide the rest of the team through tough times. AND as others have already said- Tins game relies on being a little bit subtle at times and concentrating on his own game.
