Jimmy
Grimsby - no home win since october i think i read. This is the kind of game that in previous seasons we may have lost, for me it has 'typical Bristol City trip up' written all over it. I dont mean this in a slating of the team way, but tomorrows game is crucial - not only to keep the pressure on the top 2 but to continue this wonderful run we are on and maintain mommentum. Also having looked at our run in, which is significantly more difficult than either Plymouth or QPR's, we have to win these games if we want to secure that automatic place. I said at the start of the season we'd finish second behind QPR - Plymouth have come like a bolt out of the blue this season, but being subborn as i am i stand by my prediction. On the whole i see no reason why we should not claim one of the top 2 spots. Anything less than automatic promotion this season i would have viewed as an underachievement. Our record in the playoffs isnt favourable and i have to say i would fear the worst, however i have the upmost confidence that we will go up automatically. Tomorrows game is huge do not let league positions or recent records fool you - due to the expectation of an 'inevitable' away win and the added pressure of being on a winning run, a win tomorrow would be as big a win as any this season because we are now only one win behind 2nd place. gavlin
Its goin to be tough i heard they gave Plymouth a good game down there what was it a couple of weeks ago and were unluck to only draw , We are flying at the moment i can see us taking all 3 points in a very tight game 2 v 1 we will score late i think
Jimbob
Its worth noting that in Plymouth's great run of 9 wins and a draw from their last 10 games that draw came at Grimsby after 7 straight wins. It will be a stern test and probably tougher than their recent home record suggests but if we play to our potential it will surely be another win to keep the pressure on the top two. newboy
I just feel really uneasy that most people seem to be really cocky about automatic promotion. We need confidence, but..... ... am I just paranoid? Or am I learning really quickly as a newbie supporter?
Guest cider gliders
It will be a tough game up thur, like they ole are! We wanna see the city win their 8th in a row, but a draw won`t be a disaster! City are flyin` at the moment an they will have to play bad not to get a result! Were going for another 1-0 win
tompo
I understand that Plymouth never had a single shot in their game against Grimsby the other week.
cheshire_red
I understand that Plymouth never had a single shot in their game against Grimsby the other week. I heard the same but it may have been 'on target'. Grimsby's Rivals site is not too optimistic and rate the side the worst since '79!! No more Wycombe's please. Robbored
Over-confidence can be a problem both with the players and the fans. Its not just a matter of the City team showing up and taking the rest for granted. I'd settle for a draw but would be delighted with a win of course.
