I'm Impressed

Extra training, painting the dressing room and looking for a flat in Bristol. Our new manager is ticking all the right boxes with me. He is going about the job in a professional way. Yes I'm impressed. Keep up the good work Gary at long last i can see a light at the end of the tunnel, and no it is not a train, but a future :)

Thats 2 points a game average - which as someone has said is promotion form - considering he's done that with a squad of players who a month ago looked like relegation fodder I'd say that was pretty good. Agree it's too early to be getting carried away but it's also far too early to start moaning !

Everything Johnson has done is screaming out organiser and perfectionsit. I like the guy and have a similar way about things myself. He wants things to be perfect, and is confident in his ability. However the real test will be when things don't go his way and we seem to be losing the plot. Its then he will have to show his true character.

But for now i will am very happy with this hunnymoon period, and long may it continue.

A couple of chaps at work are members of the fitness club at AG ..they are not happy with Mr J

He has banned them from using the Home dressing room amongst a couple of other things (all together now Ahh) and has taken a few of the players luxuries away - "Fit players don't need saunas or whirlpools" according to GJ..

Nice to see he wants to "toughen" the squad as well as raising the fitness levels

But its all superficial, painting the dressing room, looking for a flat in the area, fitness training.

Results matter, nothing else and so far Johnson has got 6 points from 9.

In fairness, the fitness training is not superficial (assuming our fitness levels are as poor as described by Johnson) as a lack of fitness will cost you points over the course of a season.

As for all the other stuff, I agree it is superficial but maybe it has an effect sub-consciously on the players who perhaps realising they are playing for a "professional" manager who doesn't understand the "comfort zone" mentality that has hampered this club for years may begin to act slightly more professionally themselves in order to protect the relatively comfy ride they no doubt experience at City.
