CiderEagle
The Boss is Bruce Springsteen, young 'un. Finest live gig I ever saw was him and the E Street Band at Villa Park in 1988. Not convinced by his last few albums, but in his time he was the greatest. But I'd have to say the Chilli Peppers would be preferable nowadays. gazareth
Chili Peppers have gone off the rails, ironically since they stopped taking drugs. They're just M.O.R. indie-whine-rock now. I still love their early stuff though.I'd love to see The Boss down AG!

Can't sing, can't dance.....nuff said.....MMHave you ever seen him in concert with the E-Street band . No , thought not. Great show with a great band , plus he can be on stage for 3 1/2 hours . Now thats value for money .Bruce . The BOSS . Down the Gate ??? You sure ??

Great show with a great band , plus he can be on stage for 3 1/2 hours . Now thats value for money .Bruce . The BOSS . Down the Gate ??? You sure ??Notwithstanding the fact that he gets huge crowds at his gigs, and surely has sold a shed-load of records, the fact that someone can be on stage for 3.5 hours is not always going to sell it to me. I have been to gigs where if a band had been on stage 30 minutes they would have been outstaying their welcome. Long concert does not equate to good concert. That said, I saw the Cure in 89 and they were on for knocking on for 4 hours, and it was a top notch show.Given the choice, would be the Chilli Peppers for me. Johnny Casio
if RHCP's are at the gate I will be in Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I did say that the Chilis were releasing an album this/next year and would follow it with a world tour in a previous thread so I hope this includes the gate!and chilis of the rails?.....they arguably are one of the best bands in the world STILLBring on the response...this is my field! CiderHider
Lets get U2 down the gate also, maybe Wil Smith & Christina would like to turn up aswell for a crack. We have more chance of getting these than RHCP, besides how can AG generate $2 million dollar to pay for them? But in Springsteens case I think you get both quantity and quality .His back catolgue is second to none , and he sure knows how to 'work' the crowd . Never tire of seeing him in concert .Thats whats so good about this forum we can all agree to disagree . Its all about opinions. I'll pay good money to see The BOSS , but if a was given a free ticket to see Red Hot Chiili Peppers I don't know if I would make the effeot to see them . Also the filled hyde park 2 days in a row!why would they play 1 in Bristol and 2 in a Stadium that will only take 20k...............less when the wedlock gets bulldozed.............it just isn't worth the money to them.........or Brucie.Even when Oasis and Coldplay did they recent Stadium tours we weren't good enough. Not only are rhcp quality, why would Radiohead (one of the bands of our generation) support a manufactured girl band?..
