With it just standing idle at the moment it's just going to waste. Building work don't look like it is going to happen to next season now so lets open it up for the fans. OR be the 5000th person who has complained about it on Ask Steve.
Northern Red
It won't happen. The club will claim that it will cost them more in police & stewarding, mainly because in the past some silly little boys have been unable to sit still.

BCFC could Charge the same as the Dolman/Williams alllow transfers and then see what happens. Sadly they would rather have a ground like a morgue. Guest REDCIDERARMY
Yes it a great shame to see it empty most games,I still feel if we had the support like a extra player to the team we would of gone up by now, remmeber that 12 game unbeaten run coincided with the eastend being open again, and then the final push against plymouth, qpr etc all wins I wonder if that would have happened with out the eastend support more than paid for itself that season with the play offs and finals you can physically see the diference it makes to the players, they look much for up for it and sharper. Now it looks is if the new stand is for nexyt season can the board re think on the opening of the eastend again please that extra player could make all the diference once again to this season

The acoustics of this stand are excellent, so even a small number of away fans can generate some noise" Quote from:- http://www.footballgroundguide.co.uk/It makes a huge difference to the feel of Ashton Gate! People will trot the lame excuses about standing and behaviour etc but if these examples were applied to the rest of the ground BCFC would be left with only the Atyeo open. The atmosphere could be improved 100% overnight but the will is simply not there from our club and they will be content to let the near silence sadly continue. The board just hasn't got a clue what an atmosphere is all about! for what they pay stewards it would cost them next to nothing to open the East End. Is it because fans don't sit, or they think they are going to upset away fans?
