Guest Spike
I keep coming on these forums and no matter a victory or a loss there are always threads about players being rubbish or needing to leave the club. There are also so many thrads where players are put down and who would be better than them. Can you really blame players for leaving us to go to other clubs? I mean imagine Woodman and signing on here only to read how you are a bad player despite having been a solid player of a winning team this week!Imagine Wilkshire signing on here and reading about how it's likely he is going to leave... hearing how the fans doubt he is loyal enough to stay here next season!!No wonder our players leave us all the time, it's because we only support the ones who are doing right in our head! Maybe if the fans actually got behind players and said things like "woodman had a bad game but he has the potential to improve alot" and then pointed out his good points he may realise that the fans do appreciate him and he may see a reason to give 110% rather than thinking "why am I even bothering! I'll treat this like a job and just play and pick up my check"I think Bristol City will never reach the Premiership because we just don't support our players, the staff or even our managers who are good managers like Danny Wilson or John Ward.I think we're as much to blame on the whole as any player, manager, coach or anyone else at the club. It's a forum, we cant be happy clapp all the time, if you don't like it, don't come on the forum. Simple. Wouldnt it be boring if we were singing Hallejuhas all day. WayOutWest
So you have just sumed it up then.I am a numpty. And you are just looking to get most hits, most posts, worst post, most exciting post, best female postEven though sometimes people have nothing to say, they would rather see their emoticon, avtar and picture up the most, but have no point of view, say somthing constructive, goad and antognise another forum member, much like this thread is now turning into.Have you nothing really better to do? Ive been on here two years and i have an average of two posts a day. Of course I'm posting to boost my count. I'm sorry if my contribution to this forum annoys you but i don't think my posts reflect unconstructive views. Not sure they are to antagonostic either. But as i said forums are about opinions. So thankyou for yours

Wouldnt it be boring if we were singing Hallejuhas all day. Its not a case of slagging players off, its a case of paying good cash to watch a team of misfits. What i mean by that, is you have players who can play at a certain level and those who cant ! those who cant , i think players like Woodman has tried but found his level last season on loan to Torquay and look where they are. Their players came back from this and got their side promoted. Sure, people have their opinions and they are entilted to it on the forum as longas they don't slag off the players during the game. I don't think we are as much to blame as the players as we are not playing the game. Interesting post though. I would have thought the players don't bother reading the forum. I'm not sure how many of the players read this forum but for goodness sake this is one place where we can let of a little steam after seeing a shocking game or on the contrary a good game.I don't agree with completely ripping a player apart and i don't think i ever have but i have every right to state if a player isnt putting the effort in or had a poor game. Just as Gary Johnson would tell them in the dressing room.
Guest Spike
I'm not saying come on here and be all happy and so on. What I'm saying is rather than not in so many words saying "*insert player name" is sh*t" which is bound to upset said player we could be a little more appreciative of them even when things go bad.Like say Woodman has a bad game rather than saying how we should replace him why not talk about the reasons he isnt up to standard in your opinion... like does he not mark his man well enough etc. Atleast if he came on here and saw it then he wouldnt think "oh they want me gone, ******** to playing good footie for them now!" he may think "yeah I was a bit lack on keeping on my man today and the fans have noticed it, I'll keep that in mind next game"It's just some common sence. And to those who say "don't come on here then" in responce how is that supporting your team? Should we all come on here and slate the players and then tell anyone who doesnt slate them not to come on the forums of the team they love so much? Would you prefer that all the City fans who try to make the players feel they are appreciated just stop coming on the forums?City fans in general are so fickle. Cheering when we win 12 games in a row and then insulting the manager who led us to those victorys when we don't make promotion. Nobody looks at the fact that we wouldnt have been in the promotion chase without a 12 win in a row run. Then you have Tinnion. Then you havew the way some City fans talk about players... saying who is rubbish and who isnt. Why not just accept that even if we have a weak player we don't have the money to change that player and even if we dd who is to say that the signing may be any better. Everyone went crazy about Stewart when he signed, like he was going to fix all our problems and then when he didnt perform people started laying into him.I'm just fed up of nothing ever being good enough to our fans and I don't think it will be untill we are safely in the premiership without it being likely for us to be relegated. The Man In Black
I think constructive criticism is the key. If we want to look forward we have to criticise - we can win a game but not play well, and this sort of thing has to be picked up on.It's something that I've noticed that Gary Johnson does as well.As long as people support the team during the match, lets keep the forum somewhere for debate rather than a mass "we're all happy" session. If the performance of the team or whatever does not improve you get rid, or try someone or something different. Yeah when the team are doing well your working as a unit, If your not you weed out the bad ones. good enough for the fans, i am getting to a stage after 40 years at the gate fed up with an under achieving team and all the excuses that come with it! But i still attend in hope that one day all my dreams of my football team will come true. Fans are not stupid? If there is no voice, there is no forum. "GOD" missus must have put something in me beer.

Not for posters slagging them off as footballers, but for posters slagging off their posts.I for one would be straight on the phone to my agent, quickly followed by a reliable taxi company.
