if he was going to play for us again he would train at leigh woods with the rest, training at Cheltenham suggests he is off elsewhere

our lot had a fitness enhancing kick about so if he planned to play for us again i think he would've been there :dunno:

Guy's and gals my advice to him would be to 'GO'!!!! how on earth he could come back as a player is beyond me.?

I was 100% behind Brian. I wanted to give him time. But alott of fans & players at Ashton Gate gave him too much abuse to come back in my eye's.

If i was in his shoes i would not hesitate to 'stick the V sign up' to the lot of you.

:clap:Brian Tinnion

I'll second that.

I always thought City fans were a well-perceptive lot on the footballing front... most of us either spotting a donkey or player well-over-the-hill at least 1 season before the management realised it.

The reception Wilson got was an absolute joke.. that man nearly destroyed the Club with the able assistance of Pulis.

Afraid I couldn't get in the school team, let alone the academy.

If you think persuading colleagues to sponsor games, advertise and "lose" equipment is doing nothing for the club, and that 5000 people are already doing this (really???). What do you suggest I do?

I play for the academy, what have you ever done for the club

So what have you done for the club? Playing for the academy doesn't mean you have done anything for the club. Your playing for the Academy for your own well being and for your career. If a premiership Academy came in for you tomorrow you would be gone there for rejecting this club.

You have not taken this club to promotion, Won cups, Won first team games or anything like that.

People that invest there money in this falling business have done things for this club, People who have made sacrifices for this club have, People that work for the club full time and part time and on match days have. You sorry don't qualify because you play for the Academy.

Something I put in another Tinnion thread about Tinnion playing anywhere-

Ward quote in Evil Post

"I really did it as a favour to help another manager out," he said. "Brian asked me if he could join us for training to maintain his fitness - though to be honest he looked like a guy who hadn't played for five months yesterday!"

In other words he was struggling in Cheltenham reserves so has no chance coming back - oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

Can't we ban kids from this forum?

For every one of these 16 year old wannabees, an older better poster drops out of the forum in absolute dispair.

Every month it gets worse, and I am starting to agree with a suggestion of early this year. Have seperate rooms for the teeny weenies and the adults.

Why?

If you don't know, you are 16 or younger, brain dead or close to it.

However as a BCFC fan I will tell you ......politely, that many 35-65 posters find the teen and twenty posters very irritating, their posts unresearched, inarticulate and only of any interest to other children of the same age group.

When you too become an "old fart" you will understand, but as it stands, there is , has been, and always will be a generation gap. You and I cannot change that. I too believe that the concept of seperate forums is a good idea.

Why do these older and allegedly more mature posters think they are superior to the youth?!

We have just as much right to post as you! and in my opinion some people are getting too big for their boots!

Just because you have been a city fan for longer doesnt make YOU better or your posts better!!

Its about time people started realisng this and stopped using age as a tool for slating younger posters!

Maybe its time for age being removed from prfiles to stop this singling out!

Up the City! :city:

Hi, I'm 28...I don't think that my posts are inarticulate and unresearched, quite the opposite in fact for the most part...and I also don't feel I only have anything to offer to "children" of the "same age group" (although it is nice to be considered a child - maybe I should try it on match days!).

The "gap" you refer to is largely the product of an "ageist" mindset. We don't need seperate forums, just a little more tolerance of each other's views. Sure, there are a lot of people whose posts I find irritating or who I find more difficult to relate to but I don't have to read the drivel they write. There are plenty of other good posters (of all ages, I must add).

Jeez, I've been offline for a week but you've still had time to have a jab at me and my generation.

Buzz off

:dance::dance: very good !!! i bet you were a teenager once. I know somebody on this forum that when they signed up changed their age to 30 so that they didn't get people like you slating them just becasue of their age.

Which just goes to show how pointless and impractical having seperate forums based on age would be.

Also have to agree with the Codfather on this one, I don't see that playing for the Academy means you've done something for the club. I'm very pleased Academy players take the time to engage with ordinary supporters on this forum but there's no need for anyone to get superior because they're at the academy. There are other people like stewards, people who sell lottery tickets, season ticket holders and the like who have consistently given more to the club. It's not about "doing something that nobody else has done" or a special effort: it's about continually being there for your club. There are loads of people on here who have done that. A 16 year old at the Academy hasn't.

However, if harveythompson is genuinely from the Academy, maybe he should have a chat with our friend Ashtonyate who I am very sure would be interested in discussing with him the wider value of the Academy!

While we're at it lets ban kids from the matches, if anyone under the age of 18 or whatever you classify as a kid doesn't have a valid opinion on football then why should they be allowed to watch it at all. Then we'll end up having no fans in a few years time and you can be happy.

Your saying wilson nearly destroyed are club what the hell are you on,in fact wilson got this club on stable ground reduced the wage which mr pulis went way out of control over,

He got the club to two finals which produced extra revenue so how can you say he nearly destroyed the club.??????

OK - I'm about to do my little bit for BCFC by offering some completely free-of-charge media training to an academy member.

It's completely unprofessional to have a pop at fans in your own club's forum ;)
