I wanted to give him time. But alott of fans & players at Ashton Gate gave him too much abuse to come back in my eye's. If i was in his shoes i would not hesitate to 'stick the V sign up' to the lot of you.Brian Tinnion

If a premiership Academy came in for you tomorrow you would be gone there for rejecting this club. You have not taken this club to promotion, Won cups, Won first team games or anything like that.People that invest there money in this falling business have done things for this club, People who have made sacrifices for this club have, People that work for the club full time and part time and on match days have. England
Something I put in another Tinnion thread about Tinnion playing anywhere-Ward quote in Evil Post"I really did it as a favour to help another manager out," he said. "Brian asked me if he could join us for training to maintain his fitness - though to be honest he looked like a guy who hadn't played for five months yesterday!"In other words he was struggling in Cheltenham reserves so has no chance coming back - oh dear, what a shame, never mind. bransonmo
Why? If you don't know, you are 16 or younger, brain dead or close to it. However as a BCFC fan I will tell you ......politely, that many 35-65 posters find the teen and twenty posters very irritating, their posts unresearched, inarticulate and only of any interest to other children of the same age group. When you too become an "old fart" you will understand, but as it stands, there is , has been, and always will be a generation gap. You and I cannot change that. I too believe that the concept of seperate forums is a good idea.Hi, I'm 28...I don't think that my posts are inarticulate and unresearched, quite the opposite in fact for the most part...and I also don't feel I only have anything to offer to "children" of the "same age group" (although it is nice to be considered a child - maybe I should try it on match days!).The "gap" you refer to is largely the product of an "ageist" mindset. We don't need seperate forums, just a little more tolerance of each other's views. Sure, there are a lot of people whose posts I find irritating or who I find more difficult to relate to but I don't have to read the drivel they write. There are plenty of other good posters (of all ages, I must add).

I'm very pleased Academy players take the time to engage with ordinary supporters on this forum but there's no need for anyone to get superior because they're at the academy. There are other people like stewards, people who sell lottery tickets, season ticket holders and the like who have consistently given more to the club. It's not about "doing something that nobody else has done" or a special effort: it's about continually being there for your club. There are loads of people on here who have done that. A 16 year old at the Academy hasn't.However, if harveythompson is genuinely from the Academy, maybe he should have a chat with our friend Ashtonyate who I am very sure would be interested in discussing with him the wider value of the Academy!
