Ok, well the debate about who to invite etc was on another thread a couple of weeks ago and indeed, a letter has gone out to Colin Cramb inviting him along as was requested on that thread by someone.

The above names are those that we currently have no contact details for. Other players (such as Colin) we have club addresses for or (such as Gerry Gow) the club have details for or (Paul Cheesley) we have speaking at the launch and therefore they are already in attendance.

Could you help with any contact details there then guys?

Contacted. currently at S****horpe.... to quote City stats:

"This man was the epitomy of a true professional. Famously claiming he would have crawled across the Severn Bridge on his hands and knees to play for City"

Barnard does play at Aldershot, thank you. To write to him there tomorrow.

Swansea. He has been contacted.

Yes, some City players from the current squad will be in attendance. The exact players are yet to be decided with the club although we have preferences.

Surely the name Brian Tinnion is missing.

No really, it isn't!! Brian will be contacted, we have contact details for him and as such he is not listed above in the "list of players for whom contact details are required".

Will have to check with them on this ine. He wasn't listed in their contacts list but that list was almost completely ex-players. I would expect that they should have his details and this will be something for us to ensure next week. I actually thought he was the kitman but he is not listed as club staff on the website.

In the meantime, if anyone can help....

If this takes off..and it seems to be...watch Lord Colin Sex stick his bloody great size 9 in and either say 'I WANT A PART OF IT' or 'YOU AINT HAVING IT HERE'.

You can get hold of Buster through Portishead F.C. as he helps out on the physio front.

I might even see him later, and let him know.

Steve Neville is coaching Sorrento in Perth Australia, with Trevor Morgan, or they were last time I heard from him.

So i doubt if he'd turn up for the night!

Any reasons why Gerry Gow and Tom Ritchie aren't on there - both are still fairly local and should be invited !

Gerry Gow Runs a pub somewhere in the SW - someone must know which one

Tom Ritchie still lives in or around portished and What about Paul Cheesley - also running a pub in/around Bristol I think

who from the current team will be attending

We are trying to get as many as possible there, Gary Johnson has also been invited, so I would have thought with his liking for having a good relationship with the fans that he would ask most of the team to come.

We are hoping for Cotterill (because the Supporters Trust sponsor his away kit) Murray (as club Captain) and Stewart, as a very minimum.

What about inviting Gary Owers and Shaun Taylor from Forest Green Rovers?

They've both been invited and we're awaiting their response.

Regards

Mark

How about Lou Peters Dave Rogers

Dave Rogers is on our list, but Lou Peters (real name Roger) is a good call AY, considering his bio in the 'First One Hundred Years' book I've just consulted.

Cheers.

Yes, the reason is because we have a way to contact them. the list of players above are those who we were unsure how to contact. The list of players without contact information is getting shorter thanks to everyone's help! I look forward to hearing further from everyone who is off getting more info.

Paul Cheesley will definitely be speaking at the event.

Andy Cole? I bet he would snub us though, bloody judith!

He may well do. He has been invited though, the list above is players who we had no way of contacting. clearly Andy is contactable through Man City.

What about inviting Gary Owers and Shaun Taylor from Forest Green Rovers?

Thank you. These have both been invited. The list above is players who we had no way of contacting but we were able to contact the players you mention through FGR.

How about Lou Peters Dave Rogers

Dave Rodgers has been invited. The list above is players who we had no way of contacting but we have been able to get a letter sent to him. Rodger Peters is not a name yet to come up and was not mentioned in our request for names posted previously.... if you have contact details for him I woul;d be happy to invite him.

Just had a look through the history book and found this snippet.

"Andy Llewellyn, who had been at the club eight years, was an ever present for 1989/90. He was also keen on cricket and had trials with Gloucestershire. Another ever present that season was Londoner Rob Newman, the Captain. He had spent ten years with City and thus had seen the whole gamut of the turbulent eighties; three relegations, two promotions and four good runs in three different cup competitions. He was granted a testimonial during the 1990/91 season".

Dunno about Andy L, but Rob Newman is managing Cambs U in the conference.

Good suggestion, thanks.

Paul cheesley will actually be saying a few words at the launch and therefore has been asked already. the list of players in this thread is merely those for whom we struggled to get contact details.
