the simple fact is thanks to Tinnion, we have a squad of players who are average at best. Gary Johnson has inherited these players of the previous manager.

The quicker people stop expecting this "miracle" turn round they all think is going to happen, you know the one, where we suddenly go on a big run off games and shoot to the top, the better.

Its not going to happen. Johnno needs a good 12 months to sort the mess out that Tinnion and Lansdwon created, and when he does, you will see a COMPLETELY different squad of players to the one you do now. Not only that, but he will have his own staff in to help coach and train the team.

Forget this season already, its gone (again), but we have to accept that miracles don't happen over night.

I don't remember anyone complaining about the squad Tinnion put together - 90% of people were more than happy with the squad at the start of the season.

Best of luck Gary. But you've got to get them sorted or they'll see you out the door ala Tinnion.

Fair enough. But was your opinion based on the lack of ability in the squad or the lack of commitment ?

The crap attitude obviously went deeper than most of us realised.

I think it is wrong for anyone to return to a club so I was against my previous hero Murray returning or Carey. In addition, I remain unimpressed by those coming through the academy and the purchase of two expensive salaries who arrived to see out their careers and I have consistently said we need a keeper who can command his box rather than the excellent shot stopper but flapper we have now.

On top of all that I wouldn't have trusted Tinnion with a pub team never mind let him rip the heart out of a group of players only a goal from promotion.

Only an opinion of course but one I have never moved from since June 2004 and sadly ceased attending AG for the first time in 40 years as an individual protest that hurts me more than anyone else.

On paper, it is a very good squad - as good as any in the division. But you don't win matches on paper, you win 'em with hard work and a good attitude to the game and profession added to talent. Without the hard work and attitude, talent is worthless.

And that is where it is going wrong - not enough hard work with some players just going through the motions, bad attitude to the game and profession as per players arrested etc.

No change whatsoever from day one of this season. Big time charlies in a poor league - legends in their own heads.

On papaer we signed a bunch of players (apart from Stewie and Bridges), who have never played in a team higher the league two, nor in a team which, and lets be honest, ever looked like getting out of this poxy league.

I stuck up for Stewart at first, but after seeing him absolutely smashed, leant up against the bar in Kingswood the other week, along with his less then energetic performances, the quicker he is bounced to the reserves the better.

Players like Woodman, Carey, Murray, Orr, Madjo, Quinn (ive seen play on numerous occasions), Fortune, Grant and Jamie Smith.....all of it dead wood.

It will be at least 12 months before we can be considered anything like promotion candidates
