I notice that Johnson has started to get a bit of stick from a few fans the trouble is we won a couple of games then fans got starrey eyed.

In truth we are still not a real promotion team and I don't think it would do the club much good if we when up.I think Johnson will get it right but in the mean time its going to be a roller coaster ride have faith and a little less exspectaion .

Very true, This club has been seriously damaged in past 18 months.

I think we do have a promotion team, but at the moment, we just keep losing so many players to injury we haven't had a settled team all season, once Russell, Brooker, Golbourne and Heywood are back to fitness, I have no doubt that we will start to climb up the table and go on a serious run

Johnson was not my first choice manager, so I wasn't one of the 'starry-eyed' few.

I believe the honeymoon is over and Johnson must start making inroads on the problems afflicting the team at the moment.

Injuries may be playing their part, but our form is so erratic, we can't expect to win anything at the moment.

Johnson MUST start tightening the screws and actually dropping players before he loses the plot altogether.

For the life of me, I don't know why people are saying:

1. Things will be better when Russell is fit. Eh? So exactly what qualities is this midfield 'saviour' going to bring us? He was a journeyman midfielder with Torquay - is he likely to have much to offer that will make a difference? I think not.

2. Wait till January when Gary can get his own players in. Eh? So what are we going to do with the players that Tinnion brought in, whom a lot of people are saying aren't good enough now (though they were at the beginning of the season, apparently). Do you think the board are going to sanction a large influx/outgoing of players in January?

As far as I can see, we seem to be our own worst enemy right now. When we score goals, we also leak them. When we are tight at the back, we can't seem to score at the other end.

I believe this points to our midfield. They are the ones that are supposed to provide the service AND protect our back four.

I have said in the past that our midfield do not dominate enough and we don't win enough 2nd ball.

Sort the midfield and the consistency will come.

Get a decent midfield in smartish, it will go Pete Tong if you don't. WE do not dominate the centre of the park in any shape or form, and are being buried because of it. Think Gary has sussed that, wether we can replace it, well thats another issue, innit?

The numptiness of some fans never ceases to amaze me, how can the idiots form an opinion of GJ at this moment?

How can you say he's in danger of losing the plot, he's only been here five minutes!?

People know his name, for that reason they think he'll be the saviour, there's no rationale in that type of thinking, a bit like deciding he's losing the plot after five minutes in the job. Russell may be hopeless, average or excellent, we'll see.

I definetly think we'll see a considerable turn around of players, I don't think GJ would have taken the job if he was told he had to stick with this bunch of constant under-achievers.

Just a quick note about players signed by Tinman and players who are being loaned by GJ. There is a huge difference in the way they are being introduced to the fans. G.Smith, A.Russell, Carey coming back, Stewart, Bridges.. they were all announced in an almost ceremonial fashion and therefore generated huge interest among the fans and we started believeing their own hype. GJ has been particularly candid and quiet about his loans and we seem to be pleasently surprised (or at least I am!)

We had too much expectation at the start of the season in hindsight (isn't that great) of our squad and manager and had been led to believe we have a well practiced quality team. The truth was quite different and I feel much more comfortable with the signings Gj has made simply because their performances on the pitch are better than their hype when they joined us. Give it a year and the squad will be much more balanced! (I hope)
