Yipee?

Yeah, sounds alright to me.

The F.A.Cup is the only Cup i care about and this home draw obviously gives us a very good chance to progress.

Could have been much worse - Grimsby away. :D

Like the way the Weymouth manager said on BBC1 he was hoping for Forest, Bristol City or Yeovil.

Could've said, 'one of the Bristol Clubs', but he chose his words carefully and put the gas down very nicely on national T.V. into the bargain. :city:

And he probably did that because he was naming league 1 teams, not because its city. Or maybe because he was hoping for an easy game?

No, that is not the impression i got at all.

It was obvious by the tone of his voice that it was because he did not think of Bristol Rovers as a big club, a big draw, or as an interesting match to attract either T.V. or spectators.

I must say i fully agree with him, don't you? :dunno:

Your second bit is completely lost on me, if he'd wanted an easy game i assume Rovers would have been near the top of any list.

I think he was considering the projected size of the gate, and he knew we'd get a decent crowd.

As for Notts County, I'm not too happy really. Could have done with a less tricky first round tie. We'll be expected to win and we definitely should but they're good enough to take advantage of us if we're not up for the game.

Still, if we get through the first two rounds we could do very well because then the pressure of being a "big club" will be off us.

Come on, it's not a bad draw at all.

The worst we could have got was a team from our own division away, which we get quite regularly ( Brentford, Barnsley)

The most interesting, in my opinion, would have been a non-league team, away.

This is inbetween, but it's a home draw against lower league opposition and we should win.

At this stage we couldn't have asked for much better and it leaves the intriguing possibility of much more interesting ties to come. :city:
