Sankofa,partridge

after a bright start by sank he realy has dipped, i was surprised that we got him for another month.

partridge, why can he compete at international level, then you put a city shirt on his back and hes c***.

we have now shipped 15 goals in 5 games, the worse defence in the country, gj must address the problem and drop one, if not both, heywood is not the long term answere but must start at swindon, this is going to upset most, we shipped less goals when clayton played, he also got an mom at huddersfield, i just think whoever gets the centre back berths just aint good enough, there record in the past says differant but thats the way it is, so you can add 2 centre halfs to gj long list of new players.

2 centre halfs

2 left sided players

tough tackling experianced centre midfielder

25 goal striker

6 in total, could be even more by next week.

I would have said, for once , that Bradley Orr was our best player, although that is not saying much as the rest were poor. Partridge did ok , although I understand he got out of the way of the free kick for their second goal. I was in the Atyeo stand so was too far away for me to tell.

Partridge was are best player today by far, won everything and was are only defender in my eyes.

Yes he may well of but then as Johnson and Lansdown have both admited that are run of poor form is down to those three players that were arested and Partridge ws one of them. Time for him to move on I think.

The answer may actually be here already, but as previously posted, none of our defencive partnership are ever consistent. I think with yesterdays 4 at the back, that would make the 16th different mix of players at the back; speaks desperation that we dodn't go with the same 4 for a couple of games.

Yesterday's defence didn't look too bad. set piece goal is often the teams fault somewhere and the free kick possibly could have been saved.

You saw a different Dave Partridge performance to the one I witnessed. I thought both he and Louis Carey were equally useless at dealing with balls coming into the box and that it was only when Gary Johnson was forced into introducing Matt Heywood that we showed any sort of control over the Notts County forwards.

If Terry Butcher and John Toshack rate him then he's obviously got some footballing ability but at the minute I'm struggling to see it.

Loan signings are ok when you need cover, but unless there looking for a contract (dinning) they have clubs to go back to, no wonder GJ is losing on the confidence side with players.

No arguement looked for here, just interested to know why you think his performance was poor>

He was asked to mark their tall bloke and did a poor job IMO. Not his fault as he was about half the size but even if open play his tackling was poor- lucky to stay on the pitch with some reckless fouls. His distrubution was appalling too. I actually think he will be useful with Heywood but at the moment he is poor. not helped out by those around him.

Partridge was one of the few players who got stuck in! He won every header but the whole defence panics without any organisation when the ball enters the box! Brooker was awfull to be honest, its due to match fitness but he was very poor yesterday! What makes you think he was one of our best players?

Simply because he's an international player that looked nothing less than an average League 1-2 centre half! Brooks was by far the best yesterday, the others, poor, being kind to them.

Agreed. Even though Brooker wasn't fit, he still won nearly everything for us and linekd up the play well. I thought Orr did OK. Couldn't fault Murray for effort.

100% with you on that one. I think he's had a nightmare season and it may be a while before he plays at his best. Heywood is now the first name on the teamsheet and we may sign a new partner for him.

Final word on Carey, I appreciate his efforts for the club over the years. However, he simply hasn't got the desire any more and I would be very shocked if he is a part of this squad beyond the summer.

Charlton have high hopes for Sankofa. If they get an injury in defence, he'll be back there playing in the first team. I think he can play anywhere along the back 4? so I'd like to see him at RB. It'd be good to see how we look with heywood and partridge in the centre and Youga LB. We've never really had our first choice defence this season due to injuries or internationals - hence so many changes.

Heywood should be captain. he's always putting his head in, get's stuck in and we're much better organised when he plays. He's a bit 'no-nonsense ' sometimes but at least we look solid.

Our goals conceded is rubbish.

can someone tell me our goals conceded when heywood has started?

I think it's 7 in the league.

I think it's 7 conceded in 6 starts. Fortune's is about double that in a similar amount of games.

We need our 'head on a stick'!
