Guest twaters
I would also like to point out the vast amount of optimism shown when we signed those players, the vast vast majority of fans were saying this is our year, perhaps its our fault, we built up this wave of optimism that the players couldnt live up too and inadvertently sent them into a spiral of discompfort leading to shoddy performances. Well all I'm saying is that we all thought the signings were on the most part, beneficial. What a great thing hindsight is!

Guest mesa boogie
Bin Man signed you lots of good players (based on previous performances) & in Fact Hunt you have the best manager in the last few years in the lower divisions. I suggest the blame should be pegged with your fat cat players that are more than happy just to pick up there £5000+ a week. See you next season (hoepfully). Taz
We are downOh, how stupid of me to think that there was still time left to make something of this season. How stupid of me to think that in November we still had a chance of making it out of this season alive and free from the threat of relegation.Oh how stupid I look right now

Let the players do the talking once they have signed on, because we ain't going far with the one we currently have.

robins72
I'm not giving up. Even though we have a team of individual players who are lacking in confidence I'm not going to stop supporting them. Its not even halfway through the season so unless someone has a crystal ball how do we know we will be relegated?

What a great thing hindsight is!i think you might find that the majority of posters, on this subject of the players tins brought in, considered he knew what he was doing. I think the majority of us thought some of them would be good but not necessarily all of them but we had little idea as to how they would all gel - hoping tins would do that as the boss. it is not a question of hindsight; we the fans had faith because tins brought them in as the gaffer. as i have posted before - SL sanctions the players that tins brings to him as possible signings - i am sure SL has a view but ultimately he leaves those decisions to the boss who is supposed to know what he is doing which perhaps/probably if you like he did not. reddoc
Personally with the current squad available to us, I agree. The thing that worries me is that at present I don't believe we have that many players that are failing to play to their potential. Thought the majority today put in the requisite effort but sadly that doesn't enable you to perform the basics such as controlling the ball, passing it, finding space , spotting other players movement and dare I say being able to run as quickly as the opposition. Fact is Heywood is embarrassingly slow, heads the ball a commendably long way but rarely to a team-mate, Orr / Youga cannot pass the ball, Murray was never great but is definately now a spent force, Joseph average at most, Scott Brown runs a lot, reminds me of kids you used to play with in the cubs, but don't be deceived by all that energy, achieves nothing, usually late in the tackle and generally on his ass with the opposition player long gone and no means of recovering. Stewart, Wilkshire , Cotterill, Skuse are actually good players who have or will play at a higher level. Brooker is at about the right level. To my mind half the team are just not good enough to play at this level and they don't have the capacity to improve. Nothing to do with desire, wages, drinking or clubbing, just not good enough. I'm not sitting there waiting for them to find form, poor sods are trying as hard as they can. We are definately in trouble....
