mozo
Just another happy clapper making another one of those annoying bloody positive posts. Sorry. You know what intrigues me about sport? It's full of metaphors of life. You know what I mean: the ups, downs, characters, stories, comedies, tragedies and lessons. From sport you can learn a lot about people, not just the competitors but the people surrounding the sport as well.Today I was reminded of something positive about Bristol City: that the home fans can do us proud. The fans in the corner of the Atyeo were brilliant today (maybe not when taunting the early leavers) and their fruitless efforts were eventually rewarded in the second half when other parts of the stand joined. Solidarity's good thing.Supporting a football teams a lot like life: sometimes it seems that nothings going your way. There are injustices suffered, people let you down, those in power can do the best they can to ruin things for you. It's all about how you deal with the poo in life. I'm always impressed by the people in life who, no matter how bad things seem to be in their lives, they remain in high spirits and do the best to make the most of things. What's the point in being miserable? That singing today cheered me up, warmed me up and reminded me that no matter how hopeless and badly run this club is, there'll always be a certain spirit that you'll struggle to find elsewhere. The players and board are often letting us down, but the fans were the best thing in Ashton Gate today.*Before the early leavers have a go at me, this blurb isn't a criticism of you. The Fat Controller
Here here.I was one of those in Atyeo H Block. Singing for an entire half is no mean feat, even if we tired towards the end. Any suggestions for songs that we missed?Where were you G block Dolman?
Guest James M
I was sat like 2 rows in front of the main singing bunch in the Dolman (Blk G), it was pretty rocking for the most part
Pickle Rick
Well said mozo.I think this is the time where we filter out the support.>>>The people who stay when the going gets tough..............from.........>>>......The people who said ###### this, I'm not bothering with this ###t.I for one am staying and will not go because of these dire jokes of a performance from a bunch of so called 'footballers'.City for life, not just for glory!*trying not to offend anyone*This is just the way I see it, in my personal opinion. Guest Williamz15
Apart from the fact they were shouting abuse and apparently spitting at the people who were leaving early in the dolman, yes they were brilliant
mozo
Apart from the fact they were shouting abuse and apparently spitting at the people who were leaving early in the dolman, yes they were brilliant I know nothing about spitting, but if that did happen I doubt it was any more than one or two idiots. They were singing most of the game so I don't know how they had a chance to shout abuse. Good to hear the songs coming out and that's what this threads referring to. Guest CITY BOY DAVE
I was in the ayteo h block and seen those leaving starting the trouble in the first place so they got as good as they gave. I,d just like to say WELL DONE to my fellow loyal supporters that stayed till the end and sang our hearts out thats what the boys need.
Guest BrotherErnieFromBarrowGurney
A few "who are you's?" at the people who GAVE UP after the 4th one went in was justified I think. People were leaving the Dolman and flicking the Vs at The Ayteo as if it was their fault we were losing.

People were leaving the Dolman and flicking the Vs at The Ayteo as if it was their fault we were losing. I don't think any of that is worth worrying about. The last thing we need is in-fighting. I liked the solidarity of the City faithful today, it could have been a lot more negative. It was the same at Swindon: losing to a rival, drenched in rain, a poor turn out in the away end but we made the most of it.City's fans are showing their true colours. Red and White.
