Markman Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Yes - things have gone from bad to worse and now from worse to, well, even worse!!!I guess Tin's had to go after Swansea, all of us want to see GJ do well but he is making some really dumb decisions:-Today's defence was HIS - not TinnionsNo striker cover in case Brooker (or Stewart) got injured (Surely Bridges or Gilly should have ben on the bench)Bradley Orr(full) - come on - J Smith must be a better option?Gary - for the sake of all of us - GET A GRIP
Guest Ronmeister Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Nice to see someone agrees with me about Smith - Orr, Johnson & Heywood were having a full scale argument about why there was a gaping hole in our defence on the right, and Orr was blaming it all on Scott Murray

Guest dolman_bcfc Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 So Heywood and Orr weren't Tinnion's players?Cotteril wasn't cover upfront?Cotteril is not a striker IMO, he is a winger
Guest tommy doc Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 damn right cotterill wasn't cover up front becuase he's not a striker. thats why murray spent most of the rest of the game up front and cotterill spent it on the right.
Taz Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Orr at rightback a few weeks ago I don't think was such a bad idea. He looked to be settling in and making a go of it in that position. However his distribution has gone back to being awful, and just seems to have completely regressed.Put Psycho back in.
Alex_BCFC Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Cotteril is not a striker IMO, he is a wingerHe can play both and his preferred position is striker. I've heard people say countless times that Cotteril is not a winger too! I'd say he is not great in either but I think it's wrong to say we did not have a striker on the bench!

Heywood was signed by Tinnion. Orr is playing poorly, but Jamie Smith is poor anyway. The two loanees were brought in, but don't forget that Partridge and Golbourne are injured. What else could Johnson do?An extra striker on the bench would have helped, but it wouldn't have improved the general performance a great deal, cotterill's a skilful pacy attacker after all and he came on and he scored.Dumb decisions? - GET A GRIP

It could have been a very grim "booed off" scenario - yes he has made Dumb Decisions and he does need to Get a Grip!
Alex_BCFC Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 yes he has made Dumb Decisions and he does need to Get a Grip! What dumb decisions? I would say that most of what is happening to us is down to our reaction after conceeding a goal. We have no bottle in the side. We played well for 20 mins today but Brooker going off was a big blow. We don't have much luck either- and I know luck isn't everything but it looks like relegation due to our poor luck/injuries/ and Tinnion leaving us without four or five vital players (which I have metioned in other threads).
