A Horse With No Name
One thing I have noticed is that in his early games in charge, he would be on the touchline shouting and gesturing to his troops. Recently he has just stood back, with his arms behind his back just watching silently. Giving up methinks.
Guest mtraveller
got rid of fortune. only joking. on the face of it not alot. but what manager would improve this bunch of players. we need to judge him after jan when he can bring in his own players. he needs to look at the coaches he has at the club.the sad thing about all this is a great player that tinns was for this club he left this club with some very poor players and with the transfer window gary johnsons has a very tough job. mozo
Can some one tell me truthfully what Gary Johnson has done since his much heralded arrival from Yeovil.Simple question, answers pleaseThings were appallingly bad when he arrived, so with varied changes of personnel he's tried to change things. He's sent some duffers out on loan, and he's tried to bring some discipline to Ashton gate. Do you want some more?

Guest Harding_4
Lets jugde him at the end of the season... Gary Johnson aint a miracle worker he cant just come in click his fingers and bang were amazing. things take time so lets give him time. johnson has inherited this team and I'm sure its not the team he wants to have so lets wait until jan when he can bring in his own players and getting them to play the way he wants them to play I'm sure he is the man to turn things around so lets get behind him

redmeanie
Made us a poor conference team!this is rubbish! he's taken over a bad team, won a few games, had us playing some great football at times, increased players' fitness, installed some discipline. Basically identified our problems and is working hard to fix them. He's only been here 7 weeks - what exactly did you expect of him?

A better performance and result than today after 7 weeks in charge, his loan signings are poor, his man management is certainly in question, and his ability as a league one manager when his back is against the wall,( something entirely new to him) will soon become known. Gary Johnson is no quick fix, he has been employed to sort this mess out, and is probably being paid well!

He's only been here 7 weeks - what exactly did you expect of him?i expected that he would improve our awfull league position, as i expect the board and the majority of the fans did.23rd when he took control, still 23rd and out of all cups.....is that an improvement. Of course you don't expect a complete turn around straight away, but surely you would expect some, and is seven defeats in a row any kind of improvement? NO

mozo
When you keeping telling the players they are all going to be replaced come january, would you want to give your heart and soul to the team?I didn't know he did that. Sound like an interesting team talk:GJ - 'Phillips you're dropped, and you're leaving in january. Instead, Basso you're playing...but you're leaving in January too. Brooker, you're skipper today because you're playing with heart at the moment...but you're leaving in january too!'I think you'll find that Johnson has made it clear that the places on the teamsheet are up for grabs to anyone that can impress. Atticus
* Slagged his players off publicly after every defeat. Chappers
One achievement is to bring in a left back who is actually worse than Woodman. Bringing in a striker with less pace than we already had was quite an amazing feat. Replacing the best keeper in Div 1 was not bad. His comment about 'hand-grenades' trumped Tony Rougiers one about 'kitchen sinks'. Getting rid of most of our strikers in one go. Tried to change things too quickly. We all hope he succeeds, but the statistic of results using existing players, and the comparison with results since the changes does not fill me with hope. Guest paul8204
it seems that he has done very little since coming other then bringing in some poor loan signings!i wasn't too sure keen about having him as manager in the first place,i'd of rather of had dennis wise
mozo
One achievement is to bring in a left back who is actually worse than Woodman. That's dubious Bringing in a striker with less pace than we already had was quite an amazing feat. He wasn't brought in for his pace, he's a target man. Replacing the best keeper in Div 1 was not bad. Half the the fans were calling for Phillips to be 'rested'. They were wrong in my opinion. His comment about 'hand-grenades' trumped Tony Rougiers one about 'kitchen sinks'. Most fans thought that the players deserved a rollicking - Johnson didn't come up with the phrase 'passionless wasters', we did.Getting rid of most of our strikers in one go. Tried to change things too quickly. How can you blame him. Maybe chappers you are criticisng him 'too quickly'.We all hope he succeeds, but the statistic of results using existing players, and the comparison with results since the changes does not fill me with hope. I hope he succeeds too.
