Guest Legend City Man
A goal scorer is now needed on loan till the end of the season.. Who... Leroy Lita.. a bit out of favour at Reading at the moment, they seem to be doing well enough when the guy doesnt play, at least lets enquire about getting him back on loan even for a month or two, I know this is is a long shot and he will prob say no but wheres the harm in trying.. Les Ferdinand, Kevin Gall (i'd even welcome agogo at the mo!), ect, strikers who can put the ball in the net and get us goals asap.On the Gary Johnson note I'm so very sorry to say this people but have not appointed the right man for the job. Gary is a top manager who has taken Yeovil up a few leagues with a tight and close sqaud. BUT he is not used to and upto being in a relegation fight like this one, it also appears he doesnt know how to lift the swaud moral atol, I mean 7 defeats in a row is bad, something strange amongst the players is going on this season.. I'm sorry but someone like Lennie Larwence would have been the better option short term for us and I hate to say this, cheaper aswell.. His knowlege of battling and relegation situations is far better than GJ.. Anyway thats just a few opinions.... Also RIP Peter Wilson, Mansfield Goal Keeping coach who died Yesterday. Lordofthebling
I'm tired, and I cant be bothered to type too much as my head hurts. But I diagree with everything you have said. Leroy Lita? Kevin Gall, injured and no chance. Les Ferdinand - well there is a step in the right direction! Agogo? Maybe in January, but until Rovers can sort out a replacement, he isnt going anywhere...Gary Johnson? Not the right man for the job? I'm fed up with hearing this.... I'm still confident that he will turn it around. He has been given a squad that lacks depth, character and determination. I think we are all fed up with the drinking and the lack of effort that we have seen on the pitch for the past 2 seasons, and it needed to change. We might struggle till Jan, and I can see us going bottom. But - if Johnson is given the chance to recruit some players, players that are hungry, then I hope that we will be safe.Ok he may not know relegation (however he does...), is this the manager we want? One with a mindset of losing? I personally want a manager thats used to winning a few league titles...And as for prefering Lawrence? The fact that most clubs have steered clear of him with a 4 mile wide berth, and the gas have lost 2 in 2 may make you rethink that opinion as well.
