MATT BCFC
Must be a defenders dream no pace no strength and misses good chances (sliced a good chance yesterday in the first half).Looks to have a bad attuide aswell, doesnt bother to warm up at half time when hes sub and described the loss to Barnet as "nevermind its only the shitty cup". Also told GJ to F off against Southend

Guest mtraveller
after yesterday where he got no service i think he will go to millwall. his body language was very poor, a clear sign that he wonts to play elsewhere.
Gerry Gows' Tash
I thought he had a total of three chances yesterday - you could argue that a striker of his quality should have put at least one of them away, equally you could argue that you need to create more than three chances at home to win anything. I thought he played ok but again lacked quality service

I thought he played ok but again lacked quality serviceI thought he played pretty well yesterday, worked very hard and looked knackered at the end. I still don't get this quality service thing, do we mean that he needs to teed up with open goals to show his class? Don't quality championship striker score without amazing service? mozo
Quality service means either, a slide rule pass onto a run (bridges to quinn at oldham) or our wide players getting beyond the defence and sending over a cross that can be attacked. Yesterday Stewart had one cross from each flank (a diving header attempt and a shot blocked) and zero through balls, despite making himself available on a number of occasions. The guy must be pulling his hair out at the lack of service from midfield. If he's making the runs and players are missing the opportunities to put him through then this service thing is true. I was looking out for that yesterday, and I'm yet to be convinced. I'll keep my eyes peeled though. He won't get any service from the left as we don't have width on that side.Murray's scored four goals too, yet I doubt he's had more chances or better service than Stewart. mozo
I don't know cos they normally play with Championship quality service !And we expect that from a second rate league one team? Maybe he's not the man for City after all.We could have service from wide left ..if golbourne (when fit) or smith play in a 5 man midfield, naturally left footed players crossing the ball while running towards the goal, not right footed players checking back and delaying crosses to pass with their right foot, which a) allows the defenders to regroup and b) makes the timing of a run difficult for the forward (stewart?) to get on the end of the cross. This game is not rocket science, a large part of it is balancing the attributes of the players all over the pitch.I'm glad it seems simple to you. Golbourne hasn't been available for most Of Johnsons reaign so we can't blame him for that one. Smith hasn't looked too impressive (or fit) in his cameos. If we had a left-winger, the boss would play him and tell him to get crosses in. What isn't so easy is what you do when you don't have a left wing.
