Were All The Goalys Rooted To The Spot On

Regarding the chesterfield shot that went in off the crossbar

I was looking at the Championship on SUNDAY morning

I have never seen so many goalys who never even

moved while the shots were entering the net

Maybe thier were a lot of COLD goalys on SATURDAY

I have also noted the increasing number of goalkeeping "clangers" on Match of the Day this season ... maybe, just maybe, experts on the subject like Bob Wilson have a very good point when they say that the unpredictable trajectory of the new-fangled balls is turning goalkeeping into a lottery?

I can't think of anyone whose opinion I'd value more highly on the subject, however, I am going to a dinner next week where Gordon Banks is the guest speaker so I'll try and ask him if he's had a chance to weigh up the effects of the new balls.

And maybe it wasn't Phillips' fault for conceding that goal against Notts County! It was ' the balls fault'
