REDOXO Posted November 21, 2005 Share Posted November 21, 2005 AS A BRISTOL CITY SUPPORTER OF 65 YEARS STANDING IN EXILE FOR 50 YEARS I HAVE TO TRAVEL 220 MILES TO WATCH A GAME WHICH I DO REGULARY WEEK AFTER WEEK HEADING BACK UP THE MOTERWAY DISAPOINTED AT THE TEAMS PERFORMANCE.OUR MIDFIELD OF WILKSHIRE ,SKUSE,AND MURRAY ARE THE WEAKEST IN ALL DIVISIONS INCLUDING THE CONFERENCE THEY COULDNT WIN A BALL BETWEEN THEM THE DEFENCE IS WORSE ,THE FOWARDS DO GET ANY SERVICE, DECENT CROSSES ,NO WONDER WE CANT SCORE . IF WE CARRY ON FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON WE WILL DEFINITLY GO DOWN AND IF WE CARRY ON PLAYING THIS SORT OF RUBBISH WE COULD GO OUT OF THE LEAGUE . THE BOARD OF BCFC ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POSITION WE ARE IN FOR SELLING OUR BEST PLAYERS WE COULD HAVE KEPT LITA FOR THIS YEAR HE COULDNT HAVE LEFT ON A BOSMAN BECAUSE OF HIS AGE WE SOLD DOHERTY THE ONLY MIDFIELDER WITH ANY GUTS ,COLES, AND HILL ,AND THEN WE EXPECTED BRIAN TINNION TO TAKE US OUT OF THE DIVISION.IFOR ONE HAVE NO FAITH IN THE PRESENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO GET US OUT OF THIS MESS THEY HAVE GOT US INTO, IT IS TIME WE MADE AN EFFORT TO GET SCOT DAVIDSON BACK AS CHAIRMAN I AM SURE HE WOULD NEVER LET THE CLUB GET IN THE POSITION.I don't ENVY THE POSITION GARY JOHNSON FINDS HIMSELF IN TRYING TO GET SOME FIGHT OUT OF A TEAM WHO PLAYS ALL ITS FOOTBALL IN FRONT OF THE OPPOSING DEFENDERS WITHOUT MAKING AN EFFORT TO PLAY THROUGH THEM ATEAM THAT LACKS GUTS, PANSIES AND PUSSIES CERTAINLY NOT PROFESSINAL FOOTBALLERS WHO ARE PROBABLEY THE BEST PAYED IN THE DIVISION . Lita produced a goal from nowhere, especially necessary when the rest of the team were below their best. His individual 'hat trick' at Torquay last season was just magic. Old players do not have the pace and rely far more on service from midfield. When Danny Wilson just missed out on promotion the year Wigan went up we had the best defence in Division 1 next to them but couldn't score goals. The defence is now in tatters and it is difficult to comprehend why this has come about so quickly other than from the sale of key players together with the unfortunate departure of the Manager who created it!!I have supported BCFC since 1948 and have to travel from Exeter for home games and have seen many ups and downs over the years. Relegation to Division 2 is unthinkable especially in view of the financial position of the Club. Torquay only just went down last season and are currently bottom of the Football League which proves that no Division is easy. Many gates in this Division only average 2,000 each week but would involve just as much travelling expense.Gary Johnson must dread the day he left Yeovil but under the circumstances we must now look to supporting him to get us out of this mess( including the Chairman) as time is running out and after Christmas it may be too late to rescue this already serious situation. The manager will need time, as the whole team needs to be restructured. If we can call it a team that is. Lets just keep on going and cheer the team on to stay in this division.
