Any manager who loses 8 on the trot without injuries, suspensions, drunken incidents, off the field unrest and with his own players would be out.

However, GJ has had probably the roughest ride imaginable - if this season had been in a soap opera it would have been laughed off as impossible.

Today, we conceded what sounded like an offside goal, then hit the bar straight after half time. That's just bad luck.

We need to wait until January, see who the signings are and give them a few games to settle in. If there are still problems, the people calling for GJs head will have more credibility.

Bad luck, bad luck...ive heard it all now, we have lost 7 soon to be 8 in a row, that is not bad luck.That is useless management, useless motivational skills and useless loan signings. We,ll be relegated by january and whoever comes in during this "magical" january period wont have a chance to turn it around. Gj was appointed to do a job from the moment he took over, and he has done hidiously.Sorry but I'm judging him now as it is NOW that matters, not bl***y January, its november, then december first, loads of games. 9 points away from escape would be about right I guess. I accept that as another poster put it, Johnson is having a pig so far. However, you don't become a bad manager overnight, and you can't transform a losing team overnight. It's going to take time, hard work, passion and an injection of new blood in order to do this. Lets see what Johnson brings in in January.

I think the problem with GJ is - is that some of his loan signings have been Naff - no better than what we had - thats why so many are worrying about his skills - yes he was a good manager at yeovil but some of his decisons with us have been awful

Well he did turn a losing team around overnight at first, remember brentford and barnsley,all was sweet. Then the slaggings and "you wont be here in januarys" started, and well we aint look back since. New blood? 3 loan signing played in defence today, and then there,s quinn, savage, noble...quite alot of new blood really, and look what good they,ve done.PIG PIG PIG, all round PIG.

Depends on the circumstances.

There are a lot of 'big clubs' with highly rated managers that can't buy a win right now. That's football, it happens.

i agree with you mate. football fans are basically forever optimistic. but this is very serious now . we always get this , lets wait , last year it was , lets wait a few weeks for the team to gel , lets wait till xmas, lets wait till the new year , lets wait for the heavier pitches, lets wait till february , lets wait , lets wait lets wait. yes january is a long way off still , something needs to be done and soon, every game is important now, NOT , lets wait for january , how the players can even hold there heads up i don,t know, they are just beyond it, all this confidence, rubbish, they are spineless and gutless, where do you find players that CARE about their club these days, ? perhaps we ought to play a fans 11 , they seem to have far more passion,

No we can not wait until January its to late we have to win our home games if we do we get 52 pts surely pick up say 10pts away that would give us 62 pts and a mid table position it all is at home we got get a fortress back quick and build from there,I reckon the next two game could be the most important this season two wins would stop the rot and start pulling us up a few places and not leftat the bottum

I am afraid I doubt it to - I want it - but I doubt it - I am somewhat bemused by those that think that GJ has done nothing wrong and it is all Tinmans fault - I would have thought any of us could have avoided 8 defeats on the spin if we had been manager - how can it still be all tinmans fault - the argument that he started the rot does not hold water - even if he did - 8 DEFEATS IN A ROW - it has to be something to do with GJ otherwise what is the point in having him as manager?

For the first time, I'm having my doubts about the man too. Firstly, his loan signings have been atrocious, and therefore you have to fear what he will bring in if he has any money to spend in January. If he doesn't have any, I dread to think of the frees he could persuade to join us.

Secondly, his coaching skills must be questioned. Fair enough he took over a poor, struggling side, but any coach worth his salt should have overseen an improvement after 12 games. We are markedly worse now than when he took over, and nobody can dispute that fact.

Thirdly, the man is coming out with wild promises which he can no way gaurantee to fulfill. His latest is " I promise we will not be in the bottom 2 at the end of the season". Twaddle. Just like he promised fast attacking football when he took over.
