Will Rollason Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Or is he having a bubble?(see main site) I couldnt get there on sat(much to my shame, part timer etc etc)and have only seen him play, breifly, in defence.Hes certainly some athelete but is he Patrick Veira(?) or Michael Duberry? Hmmmm.... must be time for my nap.......
Beezey Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 For a player of his size he has a surprisingly high level of skill with the ball at his feet, Anyone who watched the recent City and Rovers reserve game will tell you he was the best player on the pitch and I don’t think I remember him lumping the ball forward a la Butler once in the whole game. He also made a run from the back where the midfielders backed off and he threaded a excellent through ball for Lita. I wouldn’t say he’s the next Viera but he does certainly have something, And with his size he really would be an asset at set pieces.
cheshire_red Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 He also got rave reviews when playing for the ressies against the majority of the Yeovil 1st team in the Somerset Cup down there. I would have him on the bench as cover for the central defensive duo of Coles and Hill everytime. One for the future and the experience will do him more good than it will for Butler at this stage of butler's career.
Simez Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Perhaps Clayton could do well in midfield, his natural position is on the wing but has been converted to a defender.
