If thats why youre going to the gate on saturday please watch this film on friday night!! It might just change your mind about starting any trouble! I wont claim to be a saint but this film has really bought home the reality, not the adrenlin rush i used to get chasing away fans, but the blood thirsty reality. Please guys watch this film before you chase the welsh! :city:

Kick off should have been at 12pm.. wrong descision to have it at 3pm in my opinion especially with Cheltenham playing at home aswell..

the films messeage is to scare kids that if you go down that way of life then

you could get really hurt or the out come could be death, so in a way that

is clever, however the reality of the film in parts is just way OTT.

Watched it today as well, brilliant film really makes makes you think.

Oh dear me!

The film is completely rubbish and unrealistic.

The "top boys" cockney accent is pitiful, sorry mate but this is really not very real!

I couldn't stop laughing when they pulled up outside the station in Manchester!

CCTV for one, don't they have it up North, number 2........British Transport Police, I suppose they wer on holiday for the day were they and number 3, why were the Manc firm singing outside the station?????This type of action just brings heat, everyone knows that if you want to play up you need to be inconspicuous, surely this is obvious.

Junk.

I wasnt trying to write a film review (although some of the acting was crap) having enjoyed the late 80's early 90's it just made me think a bit!

Surely, with your experiences you would know that the film was completely unrealistic. :dunno:

Only to the extent of organisation, things changed when fans start "tooling" up and not actually going to the game, There should be no place for violence, at the end of the day with all our love passion and wanting city to win it is only a game of football! You cant remember the bradford fan paralised by a city fan with a knife after the littlewoods cup quater final? it wasnt that un realistic wolf!

that's fair comment, the film is ok if you take it for what it is ''scare tactics and like you said

makes you think''

the un realistic things are the train station fight under cctv with no police

7 on to 40?????????.

the bit where the chap was taunting the away fans, pitch side in a stewards coat only to be

outside the ground waiting for his mate, do that in at a ground and your nicked and up in court

and banned.

top boys all being just past teenagers, most are in their late 30's and in their 40's.

I'm confused. How is it right that the Don of the Springfield Mafia can preach about violence?

Its not rocket science, they were waiting for the GSE to get to the station so they could fight them  . If you would have watched properly one of the GSE boys gets a call when they are on the train saying that the mancs were waiting.

The guy is a Geordie - Charlie Hunnam.

Football hooligan films asa rule are stereotypical, tedious and glorifying of something the world wants to get rid of.

The 80's are over... Move on.

Got to disagree a bit mate, I thought 'Gren Street' was a poor film and not very realistic, as already mentioned the main character is a joke while the scene in the stadium with the steward and the railway station scene are just pathetic. A far superior film released about a year ago is 'Football Factory' I thought most of that was very close to reality.

At the end of the day, Green Street is a film. Most films are unrealistic in parts.

I enjoyed it and if you take it for what it is and ignore the dodgy accents then you'll stand more chance of enjoying this film.

ID is my favourate football hooligan film.

In the real world they would have been spotted by old Bill & CCTV, if they wanted to kick off, they would have kept incognito. :@ :@
