Guest RedTide Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 OK, the stats aren't convincing and it may be second rate after Hayter, but what GJ is good at is improving players - so he sees something he can work with; plus he doesn't just buy him in isolation,he bought him to play with Brooks - you wouldn't want to buy Duncan ferguson if you already had Peter Crouch -he must be thinking they'll work well as a team. But most tellingly - Noble came from League Two and he seems the most natural footballer we have!

Kevin Gall at Yeovil is a good example. He also helped turn McIndoe and Jevons into better players. I'm quite optimistic that Easter will complement Brooker well. Having said that he's got to force Bas out of the team first.
GeoTheCiderHead Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 what Bas Savage that big lump up front whos scored once in 38 appearances or something..........yeh should be a right disaster getting him out the team.
