Guest samOred Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 With Bradely Orr suspended on saturday for recieving another rather harsh yellow card over the weekend, do u reckon it's finally the time we get to see what Fontaine can do? I know he plays in the center or left so surely he would slot in next to Heywood and Carey switch out to the right? Cant think of any other combination and hopefully, no disrespect to Bradley he has done extremely well since moving to right back but carey can actually put in a decent cross so if Fontaine impresses maybe Orr have his work cut out getting back in the side? Just a thought!

Guest samOred Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Good point. I had no problems with Jamie Smith as a right back, suprised he was transfer listed, hasnt been given much of an opportunity this season. If he does play, i hope he is match fit!

Dan Of The Dolman Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Have you seen the footage? Orr headbutted the Swansea player I was suprised he didn't see red myself
aa_bcfc Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Trouble with Smith is he is likely to do something daft like give away a pen. with a rush challenge or get himself sent off.I would prefer to see Skuse at right back. I've got a feeling he could do a good job there.

The team in general is better disciplined, and more effective- less need for silly challenges, and red rush moments.
Nibor Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I'd actually consider playing Brown at right back ahead of Smith. That or Woodman and bring in Green or Fontaine on the left.Definitely don't arse about with the central two.Nibor
solo1bc Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I think Skuse can come in at RB with Skippy or Green replacing him on the bench. If Noble(?) is injured then Brown to play in the center.
Rednready Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 No manager in his right mind would seperate Heywood and Carey, thats the base of the spine, an absolute brick wall to build on. Woodman is doing a fine job, understandably, he's fitter, has a young family and has the need want to succeed, good for him. That leaves right back, well Smith has had his name circulated, so has been shown the door, perhaps his passion could be less than desired. That leaves Skuse or Fontaine, with Skuse getting my vote as he has played right back in his Academy days. He is also a regular squad member, so the team will feel comfortable with a familiar face filling in. GJ has shown his confidence in Skuse and thats how I see it...............
