Guest mtraveller Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 we need to sign this guy if we get any injuries to brooker we are in big trouble. pay a little more than we think he is worth it could save us from going down. our position is better than it was a few weeks ago but we are only a couple of defeats from trouble. sorry to be negative after such a good result against swansea but it is fact. COME ON STEVE SIGN HAYTER IT COULD SAVE YOU ALOT OF MONEY.
Guest alex1089 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 9 wern't penaltys mate, I have viewed all his goals and about 3 or 4 were penaltys, the rest were quality finishes.
no1cityfan_tucks Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 not the point! we still don't want him! penalties or not! He has far to much hype! Lets get a reliable striker for a better price!
Guest mtraveller Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 sorry mate hayter is a top player in this league.
no1cityfan_tucks Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 don't say sorry to me! Ul b sorry when he is a complete flop!We don't "need" to sign him as you puit it, and why pay over the top for him! To say he is the difference between us and relegation, is pure rubbish! We are a better side now! We should not rely on one player!Save the £££ Mr Landsdown!!!
Guest mtraveller Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 ******** if you don't like sorry you are writing total crap.
Guest stfc_dave Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Of his 15 goals this season over half are penalties...
Guest Mikenoski Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 It would be nice to know how many of those penalties he won for himself? We don't win many penalties and maybe this is another assett Hayter could bring.
Guest mtraveller Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 i have seen the last two and he made them himself
MattyAli Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I have to say i'm still undecided on Hayter, there does not seem to be much coming from the man himself on what he wants to do. The fact of the matter is we still need a striker.......
RedTop Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 we need to sign this guy if we get any injuries to brooker we are in big trouble. pay a little more than we think he is worth it could save us from going down. our position is better than it was a few weeks ago but we are only a couple of defeats from trouble. sorry to be negative after such a good result against swansea but it is fact. COME ON STEVE SIGN HAYTER IT COULD SAVE YOU ALOT OF MONEY.Break the bank? For any player that would be irresponsible. For Hayter, who is hardly Wayne Rooney, it would be just plain madness. I take it you weren't around in 1982? As far as I'm concerned, we can't afford the £150k that we've offered, never mind more. It's pressure from 'break the bank' merchants who don't think about the consequences of such actions (and conveniently don't directly have to foot the bill) that pushes directors to stretch club finances beyond what is sustainable.DON'T break the bank. It ain't worth it. Ever.
Portland Bill Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 The hype around this Hayter from some of our fans is unreal. We don't just sign players for the sake of it (well .....we used to!). Yeah he's a decent striker, but "break the bank" for him No way.We want players who really want to play for us and in my opinion M Stewart is still the best striker in this division, bar none. Given a decent run in the team and with a bit of service he will get us the goals. I remember 82, and we don't want to go there again so let Bournemouth stew
Red_Mat Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I wouldn't be too bothered if we didn't get him during the transfer window. We'll have at least four strikers on the books, which, although isn't a huge amount, does bring a certain amount of variety.Plus, it would be doubly nice to see Mr Bournemouth Chairman's face when we sign Hayter for free when he's out of contract at the end of the season...!
Guest We5ty Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 id rather sign Wayne Andrews tbh, quick and powerfull, he is also a proven goal scorer at this level, but has played at a higher level as well, so we know he could make the step up if we ever went up, where as Hayter has only proved himself in L1.
no1cityfan_tucks Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Seems like we will not be buying hayter! No news as yet. I personally feel this is good news! mtraveller Posted Today, 8:46 AM ******** if you don't like sorry you are writing total crap. You can not acuse me of writing crap! You cannot justify buying him other than goals! We want team players! Goals are not everythin from individuals! This could be why we are not playing Stewart! Bas contributes in the "team"!
