Just seen quoted by GJ that even though hes brought his PJs to work today...he doesnt expect us to do any business today.

Surpise Surprise...u would have thought there were other irons in the fire for when the Hayter deal eventually turned to nothing

Interesting that he has joked about bringing in his pyjama's. That tells me that he hasnt stopped making phone calls....

Look at the way people jumped on what Steve L said yesterday. He said that they was still an offer on the table but that he didn't think it would go through - and lots of people here took that to mean that we'd sign him!

Thus I'm hoping that Johnson is taking the opposite approach and not getting our hopes up

Let's hope that there are no last minute deals to bring another overpaid donkey into the squad!!.

The team seem to be doing ok at the moment, Promotion hopes are long gone, and we just need a subtable top half of the table finish!.

Then rebuild, sensibly in the Summer!.

When you buy a player for what he's worth, and not the overly inflated January panic buy prices!.

As with all things, this is a double edged sword.

Whilst Hayter, on the basis that he doesn't sign a new contract, will be available, amongst others, he will be on a Bosman, will demand a far higher wage and/or signing on fee and that will involve more negotiations and, depending on who else is in..............doesn't sound like other clubs are exactly queing up for his services, more money!

Between now and the start of next season a lot of players will be released however, they are released as frees for a reason and the Premierhip exit trials could be our best bet. :dunno:

Bosmans will be sought after, that, as always pushes the price up and, providing we're not relegated, will they want to come here?
