Guest TA8 RED Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 What a load of cobblers this crap is,what the ###### do we want to see Swindon highlights for they are not even in our TV area. come on ITV sort yourselves out.
Barrow Boy Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I've stopped watching it, so cringeworthy to see that numptey Jed Pitman's pretend to be Tim Lovejoy!!
Guest dolman_bcfc Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 To be fair it was better than it was 3 weeks ago. But it's still ####. Best bit was when the sags were singing ' Pitman is a w####r.
Guest thelightside Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Extended highlightsThe gas fans sing Pitman is W....R, so what does Jed do... Shows extended highlights of there game with Leyton Orient! Then they show 20 seconds of City v Swansea.. after the article above said we'd get extended highlights... I had my video rolling but I shall now be sending the tape to a charity shop where they can sell it for 20pence.
Barrow Boy Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Bunch of Clowns. The most appropriate c word.

Guest thelightside Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 In all fairness we have never had a descent regional news or sport service in the west.. I say let Scott Murry present the show, I'l expect hes not too busy on a Thursday night..
fRed Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I didn't watch as usual. Nothing personal against Jed, but I'd like to see him shot out a cannon into a solid brick wall.

Why thankyou and i agree with an earlier poster, what the :@ is Swindon doing in our t.v. slot, they arent a west country side.
Guest Harry May Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 The best bit about the show , was when I had a gutsfull of it , turned over to BBC2 to catch the end of newsnight . They had an article about the end of "Smash hits" magazine and played Plastic Bertrand , Ca Plane pour moi . ( Which sounds like Jet Boy by The Damned ). Brilliant.
milo1111 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 i havent watched this codswallop since the start of the season. but decided to stay up to watch it last night after reading that there would be 'extended highlights' of saturdays win v the swans, as advertised on our main site yesterday. foolish i thougt, ah maybe they are going back to a more west match plus type programme. i am jarred off that our site displayed this news as the reality was anything but!!!! 2 or 3 minutes and that was it. this was the biggest game of the week in the region by an absolute mile and yet the sags and swindle got far more coverage. that will be the last time i bother :@
no1cityfan_tucks Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I honestly thought it was slightly better! Didnt have the keepy uppy guestion rubbish! Showed slightly more highlights, and had a bit of a better chat! He does try to be Tim Lovejoy, and now hes trying to get a girl to be Hells Bells!IT WILL NEVER WORK PITAFUL!!!!!! Get off our screams!
WTFiGO!?! Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Rarely does anybody agree with me on this one but I find the show commical. It doesn't take itself seriously and if it did it would just be of low quality but very boring. Missed it last night as I forgot about its earlier scheduling.Agreed Jed and Andrew Linsay are clowns but the main calling of a clown is to amuse and I think they don't let themselves down there.I don't see how it differs particularly from Soccer AM and people seem to love that.Agreed also it doesn't show enough footage from City and I've never understood why we get any south midlands coverage in the media at all in Bristol. If we were to have a proper mainstream West Country sports broadcast and this was just an added alternative show would anybody view it differently?

You cannot compare this rubbish to SoccerAM! It is far more proffesional, and the comedy is actually comedy not loser trying to be funny!!!

rayer Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Why thankyou and i agree with an earlier poster, what the :@ is Swindon doing in our t.v. slot, they arent a west country side.Missxpiggy, that pic of yours made me spit out my morning coffee. As for last nights show, it was alot better than previous episodes because it was sat round a sofa, talking football with no stupid keepy uppies and things like that. The Fancam seems a good idea as well.
Oizys Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I'm sorry, but no word even alluding to the meaning of "humourous" can be attributed to Pitman and the rest of that show....I just cringed last night at his pathetic attempts to send himself up...the whole response to the Sags calling him a ##***r of "yes I am, but don't tell the wife, I do it in private"...sorry, but it just looked like someone who knows he ain't funny trying too hard...and failing miserably! And let's not forget that the purpose of the show is to give coverage of the local football clubs' matches...not to try and get themselves a billing at Jongleurs! At the end of the day, the highlights were abysmal, and were "extended" to such a huge extent that if you'd heard nothing about the game you wouldn't have known that Swansea finished with 10-men, cos they just didn't show the sending off at all!###te, pure and simple.
no1cityfan_tucks Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Has a far higher budget though and I will dispute your comedy comment.Dispute it all you want! But you are the only person i have spoken to, who thinks this c**p show "SoccerNight" is any good!SoccerAM is class!
Red Cloud Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 SoccerNight is without doubt the worse football programme ever - cringelingly along the lines of Norwich Union's "quote me happy" I agree in part about SoccerAM but it seems to be the same old format over & over again!

But a good show, does have a good format.
kit Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Maybe they should take note of what other channels do. In Bournemouth I think it is Meridian, covering south coast teams and Reading etc. It is actually a decent programme, and their presenter doesn't have a great deal of persona, but it is good because it is a programme that covers the areas local football teams and maybe has a 5 minute slot where they feature one of the local teams. It is obviously on a low budget, yet it is able to make me not cringe and turn off after 2 minutes.Pitman is the biggest ******** going. Whatanob.
Gazred Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I flicked over between ads, caught a few mins, just when i thought it couldnt get any worse, who should appear but Piggy Malone. He will be after the royalties no doubt!
Guest redrobin108 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 what really annoyed me about last nights show was that Jed Pitman had the cheek to take the p*ss out of Gary Stanley. :@

BS4 on Tour... Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Most embarassing programme I have ever seen
Guest thelightside Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Perhaps we could get Sam Mason back doing it alongside Jed.. Wouldnt that be great, it may actaully send her back into rehab!
Moth Eaten Pillow Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Haven't watched it since last year - used to be the same thing.... oops were on air (along with there feet on the table with a beer along side them. Rubbish presenters rubbish gags - anyone who finds it remotley entertaining is usually easily pleased.
