Guest mtraveller Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 i hope we don't regret not giving the two clubs the money they want for these two players. with brooker out injured we have no threat up front. if the worse happens and we go down it is going to cost steve and the club one hell of alot of money. we have taken one hell of a gamble. hope it works.
Matty H Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 We have a perfectly capable and proven striker who sits on the bench every week. This situation with Stewart is starting to annoy me now

This situation with Stewart is starting to annoy me nowAs i stated on another post, two players up front Savage and Andrews, who have scored one goal between them in leaguge football, and because of pride or something keeps a proven scorer on the bench

Roger Red Hat Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 We have a perfectly capable and proven striker who sits on the bench every week. So people keep saying. I was as pleased as everybody else when MS signed but all he's done so far this season is under-achieve massively and kiss his shirt.

Nibor Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 So people keep saying. I was as pleased as everybody else when MS signed but all he's done so far this season is under-achieve massively and kiss his shirt. So people keep saying yet when he was dropped he had only scored one less than Brooker, and he's been replaced by a player who has scored one in eleven and doesn't look like adding to it any time soon. I think that in a 442 your front two players HAVE to be capable of scoring, and Stewart should be given a run of starts in front of a midfield of Murray, Russell, Noble and Cotterill - if he can't get goals then fair enough. Guest mtraveller Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 every reason he should have signed a proven striker. sorry andrew and savage up front then we are down. look at swindon cureton and say what you like about peacock i wish we had him right now.

NiborUnfortunately, when MS has come on as a sub, he's not shown any reason why he should be picked. People say he's a class act and a proven striker, not at this club, so far, this season.

How can he prove his worth with 10/15 minute cameos............he cannot.
