Red Robin Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 If this manager has got the good of BCFC in his heart, surely he must start playing stewert along side brooks it is the only hope or chance we have of staving of relagation.I would not be so unhappy if at least the club would send out a statement why JOHNSON does not play stewert and the reasons being.Apart from Brooks he is the best striker on the books at the gate. Not to mention the serious bucks he is being paid while the club sit on the brink of relagation.Put your pride to one side and at least give us a chance of staying up MR JOHNSON.

Totally agree time to sort out this Stewart and Johnson problem before its to late
Red Robin Posted February 5, 2006 Author Posted February 5, 2006 Are you literally shouting Johnson as you type?It seems to me every man and dog can see our problem.however our great manager does not?
TomBCFCUK Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I think there are actually 3 players at this club who want to play FOOTBALL, which are Brooker, Stewart and Wilkshire and 2 of them cant even get into are Starting 11! Something needs to be sorted out....

I'm coming to the conclusion that johnson is doing this for his own benefit and not the clubs. he is not or will never be as big as this club and should put the stewart argument to bed. marcus stewart, if managed right can be the best centre forward in this pi** poor division, give him the service and he will score goals, instead of playing in a full back position as he did in the early part of the season when he had to cross the ball and then run to get on the end of it. what I'm saying is love or hate the bloke, give him 5 games alongside brooker and see what happens, its a shame bridges or gilly weren't given the same oppurtunity(spelling, in most cases) cheers.

BigTone Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Just what has Stewart done to warrant a place. He is living on past reputation and has been a great dissapointment. If he is our only chance of salvation then we are as good as down. The stats show that Stewart has scored 5 goals in 17 appearances of which more than 50% were as sub. Murray has scored 10 in 26, Brooker 9 in 24 & Savage 1 in his lifetime. I think this shows quite clearly that Stewart has done more than Savage for a place in the team if you work out the percentages. The problem is looking like a personal one between manager and player. I think GJ should remember he is manager of BCFC (our club !!) not Gary Johnson FC.Sort it out Johnson or ship out yourself.

You obviously did not go to Barnsley! Savage was best player by far! Brooks and Bas to start!!!And why does everyone keep jumping on the Johnson against Stewart bandwagon! Maybe he sees like 50% of this forum that Stewart does not help the team performance! He doesnt deserve a start!
Swindon Hater Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 ###### Stewart, he's been poo all season and should be tranfser listed, not starting in the team.I honestly wonder if some people on here watch games with their eyes shut, because I'd love to have seen this amazing goalscoring Stewart, who when I've watched him is annoymous until he gives away an offside decision.Oh I suppose that's his magical football brain that nobody can keep up with? Yeah alright then!We need a new striker, Savage or Stewart = neither will score.

Something needs to be sorted out....Wilkshire got injured during the Bradford game - since then we've generally done well, so he hasn't got his place back.Stewart got suspended during the Uddders game - since then we've generally done well, so he hasn't got his place back. Not so odd now is it ?If you watch us regularly & you don't think that Russell, Noble, Cotterill & Murray want to play football then you're watching a different game to me.

He doesnt deserve a start!Absolutely. Savage keeps his place on merit. Stewart did nothing on the pitch at Barnsley except exist. Savage was our MotM. Stewart will have to wait for his chance and make a better attempt at grabbing it than he has done in his last few appearances. But if it was between Stewart and Andrews, Stewart would get the nod to play alongside Bas.

But no one knows how Andrews was going to play!
