But atmosphere doesn't make up for the lack of quality within our squad.I fear it may be away from Ashton Gate that salvation is won or lost. Points will still need to be gleened from our travels: S****horpe, Bradford, MK Dons, Rotherham, Walsall, Hartlepool, and Tranmere are all to be visited and all potentially six pointers. It could be academic by the time we go to Southend. I'm sure a few people thought of Southend as a promotion party. How right they could be!! although not quite what they had in mind perhaps How far we have fallen in just one and three quarter seasons!! Thank you Messrs Lansdown and Tinnion
Guest SUPER REDS Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 If we can win all our home games that gives us 53 points that could be enough,it is a tight league and could mean 55 plus is what is required, all I know another 18 points right now looks good

However, we can not bank on winning every home game. I would guess Brentford will come to take all three points, whilst Bournemouth, Gillingham, Yeovil, Oldham and Swindon will probably come and shut up shop and take a point. The problem is: do we have the quality to unlock their defences? Three wins and three draws will give us 12 points, (plus our current 35) equalling 47. That works out to be a good six to eight points from your "safety" mark. So, I'll stand by my previous thread, away points vital!!I sincerely hope, however, you're right.
