Guest Pinamonte Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 With City looking likely to be big contenders for promotion and with some big clashes lined up in april, do people think that Sky could be televising one or two of our matches? The home games against Plymouth and QPR look the obvious candidates and the Swindon match might also be a contender. When do Sky finalise their arrangements for matches in the latter stages of the season?
cityboy Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 We always play badly when we're on Sky so you can keep those cameras firmly out of AG please!
Guest Pinamonte Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 We've won lots of times on Sky, where do you get that idea from? It would be great if the Plymouth or QPR game was televised live as it would save me forking out for a ticket.
Guest comeonyoureds Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 why would you ever prefer watching city on tv rather then goin to the game! we need as many city fans at those games as possible!

I would always go to a game rather than watch it on the box!
Lordofthebling Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 hmmm that match in septemebr was dire and remember the rovers game?! Hmmmmm... Reckon we will get Plymoth though..
PhatWill Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 I'm pretty sure we'll be on Sky for either the QPR or Argyle game. I would guess that the QPR game will be on Sky.
Guest Pinamonte Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Not at all, I've got a mate who is a season ticket holder and he always lends me his ticket when City are on Sky as he prefers to watch on the box. Don't ask me why, I think he's mad.
Admin Phantom Posted February 16, 2004 Admin Posted February 16, 2004 Get Argyle on SKY every week. Their manager was moaning after the Brighton defeat that they never win when they are live on the box !, That would suit us just fine !
One Team Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 There was an ad on Sky Sports the other day for "upcoming in April" stuff, which included the "promotion challenges" in the "Nationwide Leagues". One Team
Guest blairhater Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 It's interesting re-watching City's games on tape. I watched the City v Wigan game from last season the other day, resulting in Wigan's tenth win on the bounce and subsequent promotion. A good omen, hopefully. Wigan did a job on us that day. With continued hard work, commitment, belief, luck and support we have the ability in our squad to do a job on the rest of this division. Shant watch the above game again , though. Difficult viewing.

I recorded that game as I was at the match - but I have never watched it, just recorded straight over the top of it.
Guest Uxbridge Red Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Sorry, checked with Sky customer service this morning, no City on Sky in April
Guest comeonyoureds Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 never mind then everyone will just have to get down the gate instead of watching from their armchair! cant wait for it!
Guest blairhater Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Apparently, nowadays you can even pre-set your VCR. Brilliant.
Robbored Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Lets hope QPR flop in front of the SKY camara's this Friday. They play Posh at Loftus road and its live..... Hopefully Bobby Gould will have got his players motivated for this one.Its about time he did us a favour...
