Never to the dark side Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 This was stolen from a poster on the BBC second division message board Steve Lansdown and the Plymouth Chairman were on the Today programme On Radio FOUR today (tuesday) at 830am I do my best to get as many fans to listen to Radio Bristol but even I wouldn't go near radio four By the way did any one get a text message saying Mister Lansdown was to appear on Radio Four?
Stoke_Gifford_Red Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Who actually listens to Radio 4 (oh I do-but only for comedy-by the way Little Britain is on at 6.30 today). I would have thought it would have been better for him to go on Radio 1 or GWR, as we should be going for younger people.
Flounder Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 If you have real player it may be here (Today program 8-9 this morning) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio4_aod.shtml?today2 Network here blocks streaming audio so I haven't listened. regards
brady bunch Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 I confess to waking up with Radio 4 (boring old git that I am) I move on to talksport in my car to work! I heard it all for what it is worth! It was a light hearted piece starting with the report about a takeover at Leeds, the link was that whatever the outcome they maybe playing city and Plymouth next season, gets Steve and the Plymouth chairman on line, both talked about the usual stuff, west country footy on the raise, broad base for supporters if success can be achieved, careful financial control (Plymouth guy stated they had made a profit for last two years???) Steve made a good point about putting Plymouth under pressure which certainly will not have been lost on the Plymouth Chairman! Steve Lansdown as ever came across as a nice bloke, true city fan and a very good chairman, forget whether Danny should stay or go, I think having the right Chairman and board is key, look at what Charlton have done since they sorted out the board troubles and went back to the valley, the manager takes all the praise but success at a footy club goes much deeper then that in my book.

PS note for SGR - I'm only 36! does that put me in the grab a granny league!! I always hated R1 even in my teens and twenty's!
