bucksred Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 ##** Yeah, what a night!!! I aint felt this good since the Wycombe Grimsby game a few years back!!!! Come on You Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!!!!!!
Matty H Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Well, what an absolutely fantastic night!!!!!! Whats most pleasing to me is that we can play large portions of many games under relative pressure and still come away with a win. I was always taught that this was the sign of a good team. Can anyone stop us on current form? It looks unlikely, not just because of the run we are on but because Plymouth and QPR keep dropping points. Still some way to go yet but things could not look better than they do right now :Party27: WILSON OUT!
Matty H Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Buggir ! I've got an early start tomorrow (this morning now) 6am on the road from N. Wales down to Bracknell then Bristol and I've got a load of Blackthorne to get through. Her upstairs doesn't understand, thinks it's sad that I've been in front of the PC since 7.30 listening to "footy". She has to go. Harsh but fair
Guest comeonyoureds Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 i was at the game tonight, it was a quality result! i can safely say that I'm more than proud to be from bristol tonight! the lads just never give up! the support tonight was again superb considering the distance (and the destination) with a very respectable turn out! as for the game i thought miller took his header well and could have had a memorable second in the second half when he chipped the keeper only for it to hit the bar, it would have been a goal worthy of winning any game! the penalty decision was an absolute disgrace, it happen right in front of me and matty clearly won the ball, but then in general the referee and his assistants were just that tonight a disgrace! had to laugh when the referee decided the ball was flat, but after the referee checked the replacement and said it was fine the linesman then decided the replacement wasnt good enough! about somes up the question of whether they know what theyre doing! i can only remember grimsby having two other chances in the whole game so if it had ended a draw it would have been very unlucky! thought wilkshire had a pretty decent game on the right, and tommy was a different class in the middle! once again the defence was looking solid as the few chances grimsby had would suggest! in the second half city more than dominated and i dont think grimsby could complain if the score line was more comfortable! overall a job well done! who cares about late goals as long as they go in! hoped plymuff would loose tonight but didnt actually think they would so credit to tranmere! cant wait for saturdays game now, hope we get a turn out at the gate that a team TOP of the league deserves!!! GOING UP GOING UP GOING UP
Cooter Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 I haven't posted so much in absolutely ages! I've just been almost killing myself hoping that City would get this win tonight and I'm still having trouble getting it through to my head that it actually happened! Well done to all the lads who played tonight and of course our very Unorthodox Manager Danny Wilson! :Party27: :Party27: :Party27:
