Reds
Well done leroy lita for a brill effort, you deserve a first team start more often, at least the wide ball was a good attempt, and he had a try.

Taz
Not trying to throw any sort of abuse towards him, but it was an awful finish. Like I said if any of the other more "senior" players would have been in that position they would have been completely slaughtered Didn't think he had a bad game. Could have been slightly better, but by no means was the worst player on the field.
Admin Ian M Posted March 12, 2004 Admin Report Share Posted March 12, 2004 I'd like to see it again, he was running against the way he had to shoot and the keeper had blocked the angle for a left foot finish. Had he taken the ball in his stride to round the keeper the covering defender would have got the ball so had to try and twist and shoot with his right whilst still running in a similar way to RvN for Man U last season against someone like Villa or Fulham. RvN was rightly praised for the difficulty of the finish so I don't see why Lita should be criticised for not being up to RvN's standards yet. Anyway, at least debating this affords us the oppurtunity to ignore the fact that the one he did score actually won us the 3 points
CityDuke14
At Last!!!!Someone has noticed that there is a thing called a Goalkeeper between the player with the ball and his intended target. When are we going to SUPPORT our team, instead of slating the players. If we scored with every chance (or half-chance) then our players would be playing for Real Madrid or the like. Our younger players will only improve by making mistakes and learning by them. For those of you clapping the approach play......The chance came from a back-pass!!!!!
Guest citysnumber7
no if our players score MOST of our chances or scored more than we missed then our players would be in divison 1, not playin for real madrid!
twaters
'yeh lets all clap at him for that reali poor finish, yeh lets make him think that we all thought it was good when we all think it was rubbish, lets just let him think that it was good!!' i hate THIS! Sure perhaps have a go at him when he misses two or three one on ones and we lose the game. But we won, he scored the winning goal, and it was he first ever league start. Yet you still find somthing to moan about. The reason everyone clapped was because he made the chance for himself, he was the one who ran after the backass when alot of strikers wouldnt have been quick enough to spot the oppertunity. So when he missed we appreciated the fact his determination made the chance. But he missed a chance so we should moan at him? What planet are you on? We clapped because it was the right thing to do. We want him to keep on playing for us because we know this kid has talent. Moaning at him when he misses a chance might work the first time, but eventually it wouldnt. Lerrrrooooooy! Guest blairhater
A pacy goalscorer and a blessing for BCFC. Looking forward to L.L and L.M forging a goalgetting partnership up front. As demonstrated briefly at QPR. Though, D.W and L.P may need surgery to address their joined at the hip condition.
