RedM
I think the radio said 2606 City fans? Could hear them singing and cheering the team on (over the Coventry boo's!). They all did us proud, I'm sure with support like that it really was like playing with an extra man.

Their team were could play but showed such a lack of confidence. It wasn't long before the Cov fans went quiet. It was party all night at our end! Let's make Oldham special!!!!!!! Webzcas
Superb match. Got back an hour and a half ago. The support from our fans was quality. If only the gate was like that every home match. I really did feel like we were the home side with the support we gave the lads and it showed through on the pitch as a result.Absolute quality!! Bring on Boro!! Out of interest if the Coventry fans had really started to support their team in their hour of need, would it have lifted them and changed the game? I'm glad they didn't of course!Whereas I didn't doubt the strength and character of our players, they did need the extra from our fans to make it happen. I hope we can really start making the same noise and show of support at the Gate now.
Guest Scroobs
Excellent stuff - hearing the 2,600 that did travel on the radio last night was awesome, you were very loud and clear - didn't hear Coventry at all - we need this sort of stuff up at Oldham, being it for me personally the most important away game of the season so far - I reckon we can push 2,000+ with it being pay on the day - out of interest anybody know how many tickets have been sold for Saturday ? I think we got an allocation of 1,200.
Flaxbourton Red
great game, great result, great away supportpity coventry were unable to manage the pay on the day facilities at their great big white elephant of a stadium properly.
Chivs
great game, great result, great away supportpity coventry were unable to manage the pay on the day facilities at their great big white elephant of a stadium properly.I had to wait at the turnstiles whilst they got more tickets! The guy at the turnstile said they'd never had so many paying fans. I guess Wolves/Brum all use credit cards?

Flaxbourton Red
No - they just buy the tickets in advance We are still in the dark ages of football as far as our ticketing arrangements and stadium are concerned - last night showed that more than everAnd from some of the "fans" comments on here it looks like we always will be yes, naughty "fans", fancy turning up at the big empty concrete bowl named after a photocopier thinking they could pay on the day.Its much more convienient for the "fans" to pay extra for pre-booked internet tickets or go down to ashton gate and collect them in person or queue outside some ticket office then queue again to get in."pay on the day" its from the stoneage eh?
