Boro don't have one in the week before the tie, we do - a disadvantage?

Although they do have a game in the Prem v Portsmouth on the Tuesday after (30th) - might they view that as more important and rest a couple of players?

Fortunately the Brighton game is at home (with no prospect of extra time) as is the Boro game. We'll also have lighter training on the Tuesday so I shouldn't expect the workload to be much more than a week's training.

Boro will have a 5 or 6 hour coach trip on the Friday and in my experience those sorts of trips often take as much out of you as a game of football so hopefully the two will cancel each other out.

I'd noticed the Pompey game too and hope Boro decide to "rest" Yakubu and Viduka

The way the side is playing two games a week is fine - I'd bet they feel that the next game can't come quick enough given the obvious team spirit that exists. Teams that aren't involved in cups get time to recover but often start slowly after a 10-14 day break. :city:
