Reduced prices

Blackburn have announced that with the extra money coming into the game next season they may well reduce ticket prices for next season. Is this a sign of things to come, clubs not filling grounds have finally got the message that a good gate and atmosphere helps the team. If we go up whats the odds of us doing this in the championship.

No chance I'd say.

Next year Prem teams are getting a huge increase in Sky money, doubt it'll filter down to the lower leagues.

Wouldn't we get more tv money next year for going up so could be possible. i doubt it myself personally but good to see some clubs are trying to fill their grounds. read in one of the papers this week that for prem teams gate receipts is now only the fourth biggest money earner now.

Watford (OK I know it's Watford) had less than 14,000 for the visit of Blackburn last night - pathetic.

Totally agree but if attendances are now fourth biggest earner for clubs now why should they bother attracting people to the game. think blackburn have the right idea as there chairman said " we have all this money now, lets give something back to the fans".

The difference is, look at how much the premiership teams get for final league positions this season.

The bottom team will get £30 million.

I'm not quite sure what the prices are for final league positions in our league but obviously a lot lot lower!
