Guest redwes Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Which would you prefer?Victory against the Blues, and another season in this division, or defeat over two legs, but glory come May ?Simply either/or ?
bh_red Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 no brainerpromotion, beating Rovers doesn't actually count for anything these days
beau45 Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Promotion with out a doubt!!Wouldn't say no to beating the gas though
Guest Paul Hudd Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 This is really selfish and I want promotion as muchas any City fan first and foremost. But I'm greedy and what the JPT aswell.City for the double............????
Guest Paul Hudd Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Sorry about the typo's, on my 2nd glass of wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bristol Boy Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 The thing to remember is that is isn't either or.We could lose 4-0 to The Gas and still not get promoted. The two are not mutually exclusive and even thinking like that could cause us problems.
JudgeRed Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Promotion!!!But how good will it look with the 'Uefa Cup look a like trophy' in the team photo in all the Championship match programmes next season.
REDOXO Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 For me just being in the JPT is the ultimate sign of failure...Winning the thing does nothing for me and I refused to even go to the last final we were in on those grounds.I understand that the JPT has turned in to a big money spinner for the club this season and for that I am truly pleased... so getting to the final or winning the thing may mean being able to hang on to our best players or bring in another face...But IF we lose to Bristol Rovers over two legs I would not give it to much thought as the real aim is to be two divisions above them by the middle of May.However I hope we hammer em ten nil
icamanicity Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Promotion without a doubt, the gas don't want us to be two leagues up from them, they really become a little lower league side then, with no prospects, while we, one step from the prem...
Rob k Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 could not stand to lose this derby knowing if we go up we wont play them for another 10 years.
icamanicity Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 I would`nt miss them, we have bigger fish to fry. They should be resigned to history, not part of our future, i just don't see them, where we are headed..
Guest Hodges17 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Promotion without a doubt, the gas don't want us to be two leagues up from them, they really become a little lower league side then, with no prospects, while we, one step from the prem...We already are, don't worry about it.
icamanicity Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 We already are, don't worry about it.Only because you lot are under performing, what club are bigger than you in your league, we are trying to do something about our status and doing our best to get out of league 1 and if we do, we will be amongst clubs of simular size. Alright then i wont worry about it..

They should be resigned to history, not part of our future, i just don't see them, where we are headed..Like it. It is though a crap hypothetical scenario that shouldn't be engaged with imo.
