Red Robin Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 At Rugby this morning talking to some gas fans who are going to AG,they seem to think we will win easily over the two games.certainly don't hold out for much at AG they say,if a narrow win to us then it could be game on at the memorial stadium.Personaly I think it will be two very hard games if we are to progress through.My heart wants promotion and a millstad final we are long over due.How ever promotion is the ultimate goal.

Bristol Boy Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Winning the JPT,even being in the final, is worth about £500k minimum and we can't turn our noses up at that, FA Cup run or not.It only means three extra games between now and May-that's one a month on average, so having got here, lets not get silly about three (potentially, two definetly) more games.Winning breeds confidence and it also means we get to utilise our squad which will help keep fringe players fit.Winning one doesn't preclude the other, in fact, it may even increase our chances through greater confidence.Winning Auto Promotion & the JPT isn't something that mutually exclusive, let's get on with it and win both!!

22A Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Brum won the LDV and went up as Champs.Last time City went up, (97-98) Grimsby won the LDV, finished 3rd and then went up through the play offs (see it can be done).Just out of interest, that season Fulham were 6th with 15 points less than City whilst Wigan were 10th
