Barrs Court Red Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I thought it was "keep it in the family" when it came to them?

samo Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 from what ive read on that forum it mentions ONE mans oppinion,it doesnt reflect on everyones views,do not tar us all with the same brush.have a nice dayTrue, but I think the original poster's point is about the lack of support from your clubs employees when they faced what could be construed as potentially racist (or at the very least libellous) abuse. The bloke and his mates paid for hospitality packages, yet felt intimidated to the point of having to leave before the end of the match with the stadium manager ignoring their situation. If that happened at City I would be very upset that my club had not taken action against someone who was being aggressive to visiting fans, be them from the opposition or not, and would hope the staff present would intervene to solve the problem, not stand back and allow someone to suffer abuse at the hands of an ill educated and ill informed moron. He's not saying your all idiots or anything of the sort, just that the oft coined adage ("Bristol Rovers; the Family Club") which your club spouts is undermined by occasions such as this.Let's hope this bloke gets a full apology and that a couple of Bristolians attitudes don't sully all our names.
icamanicity Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Yeah right. http://ourweecountry.ipbhost.com/index.php...c=17009&hl=You must send it in to the evening post, now that is front page headlines, if it was the city it would be on the front page and i would buy it and it would end the "we are not bias" tone of the rag, em lets see..
redcityman Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 You must send it in to the evening post, now that is front page headlines, if it was the city it would be on the front page and i would buy it and it would end the "we are not bias" tone of the rag, em lets see..more likely a small two inch paragraph tucked away amongst the lost and found.
bs3 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I tried to log on to their site to offer my opology on behalf of the decent (city fans) people of Bristol but for some reason was unable to. Typical stupid thick gas heads .
icamanicity Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 The link has been e-mailed to the news ed, lets just wait and see?
Robbored Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 To be fair every club has its share of ill-informed bigots and its possible that the visitors could have encountered a similar problem at AG.That said I'm not so sure I'd go to a game in N.I. and display the cross of St George for all to see, depite being a proud Englishman. You never know who you might offend.I hope the experience doesn't deter them from returning to our fair city.
