RedTop Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 In fairness, you should add the two managers and 22 players because they didn't exactly serve up the sort of fare that generates excitement and noise.
Guest evered-e Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Hmmok if you say so.....whats your pointThe whole don`t fart or you`ll be arrested, the totally over the top build up to the game by all parties, the massive police presence, at half time and just after it, there was complete over kill in the williams. 30 riot police to remove 1 person!. Agree about the players and the manager, but the tie was ruined before a ball had been kicked. The ticketing requirements pretty much ensured there would be no trouble in the ground ( although noticed the police were ignoring the large groups of probably ticketless morons outside the ground before the game). Whilst I in no way condone violence, the current stance on crowd control is prohibitive to banter, rivalry and creating a hostile atmosphere to greet teams. No wonder teams higher than ours are cutting prices, people are voting with their feet. Football used to be where the average working bloke could go, have a few drinks before the game let of steam during it and then go back to his/her real world after, now!! This was supposed to be a meeting of 2 bitter rivals after all.
