Bristol Boy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 And we haven't sold out despite being a win off second place with our game in hand-In the Area Final of The JPT with a trip to The Millenium beckoning and having had a decent run in the FA Cup, having played some thrilling football, at times.Simple question. Why?
Turkey Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 £23.50 - shit ground, miles from the pitch and no roof.
Guest Sim Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Agreed, I only live 50 miles away and have a girlfriend who wants to go to her first football match, I can't take her 'cos it's so bad there, it will put her off for life. Plus £47 for two tickets is £19 more than I paid to take my son to the Chelsea v Norwich game last week - work that out?

Bristol Boy Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Weather Update-Cloudy No Rain Hope not with no roof
Percy Parrot Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I think the reasons have been stated enough but just for fun-rubbish ground, rubbish view, miles from pitch, uncovered, not easy/near to get to, stupidly expensive, no atmosphere.Also- we have played a silly amount of football recently and people have been paying a lot to go to Boro, Rovers x2, league games etc.Maybe the most important game of the lot but not the most exciting.
deadratinmycider Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Weather Update-Cloudy No Rain Hope not with no roofThere was only a few tickets left apparently when I phoned. I expect they alwayssay that though!
Bristol Boy Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 There was only a few tickets left apparently when I phoned. I expect they alwayssay that though!I can understand the reasons and our away support has been good this year whilst not reaching the averages of previous seasons perhaps. One reason that hasn't come up is the malaise that I feel around the club for another League One/Div Three season. That's what's happened at home and why the gates aren't rising.Cost is obviously a factor and I'm not just talking tickets but travel, time off work, food etc, etc.
