City_pete1 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I don't..I wish the reporter asked him why he wasnt man enough to shake Bassos hand.Did I miss something. Did he refuse Basso? If he did that was disgusting, it is a mans game and a sport at the end of the day. Despite what I have said in the past, I still did have a bit of respect for phillips after his service to city - Not much of a Man if he refused to shake Basso's hand, thats for sure.
Robbored Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Phillips is still very bitter about how things turned out for him at City and whilst he blames the manager no-one else does.If Phillips had acted professionally at being replaced instead of moping and creating an atmosphere then maybe Johnson would have been impressed and he may of won his place back.If Phillips did refuse to shake Basso's hand then that is disgracefull after all its not Basso's fault that he was selected ahead of flapper.

Guest Paul Hudd Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I don't believe a word of this interview!!Boaz Myhill Jon Gould Ben Foster and Mike Stowell hardly played any games for City!!There is more to this than he's letting on. Even though Basso is quite old he is still improving as a goalkeeper....Steve Phillips seems to be the same goalkeeper he wa 10 years ago!
