CodeRed Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 What pubs are OK for City fans to drink in before the game?Anyone know where - in previous games - City fans have been able to get a peaceful drink near(ish) to the Mem?I know all the nearest pubs...Cabot, Wellington, Gloucester, etc etc are home only.............but wouldn't mind a drink before and would like to avoid the "firms"!thanksCodeRed
bh_red Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Personally I'll be going in the Cabot.......should be Interesting!
Robbored Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Most of the pubs on the Gloucester Road will be closed. The Kellaways is about as close to the Mem as you'll get.
Guest DrFaustus Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Personally I'll be going in the Cabot.......should be Interesting! That will be a good trick then. It's closed on Tuesday night, as is the Welly and presumably the Vic and the Anchor.
CodeRed Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Most of the pubs on the Gloucester Road will be closed. The Kellaways is about as close to the Mem as you'll get.do you mean closed to away fans? or completely closed?..............suprised if they are completely shut as all the Pubs around AG were open for the first game (but plenty of police around to ensure everything ok) - If they close completely this will only move the local Gas further away and make it even more difficult to police with everyone spread out - better to have them where you can keep an eye on them IMO .CodeRed
Robbored Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 do you mean closed to away fans? or completely closed?.............Closed to all.
Markman Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Isn't the Beehive or something fairly near by?

Guest ciderwayne Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 the fellowship will welcome city fans with open arms, most of them in there can be seen at home games by the ship and castle. did here a rumour that the landlord was putting posters up saying "AWAY FANS ONLY". SHOULD BE INTERESTING.
