Guest iWurzel Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I've never driven to the Mem before for a game so could someone advise the best sort of place to be trying to park? Don't mind walking a fair way to the ground if it's easier/safer to park some distance away?
BS10 RED Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I live about 15min walk from the ground you can park on my drive for £25
Guest DanC Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I live about 15min walk from the ground you can park on my drive for £25 It's all up hill though, For £25 I would be expecting you to provide a taxi service aswell.
Guest reading-gas Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I'd advise going in the side streets around the back of the Welly, near to the common. Thats where I'm going to be parking anyway. Its always pretty safe up round there, and it isn't too far away from the ground. I'm presuming that you're not wearing colours though? If you are wearing colours then stay as close to the main roads (Gloucester Road, Muller Road, Filton Avenue) as possible, will be safer as there will be more police and people around, less chance of trouble.

Guest iWurzel Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I want to wear colours, I want to support our club on a fantastic occasion for BRISTOL not just us. But I don't want to fear for my safety wearing colours!! I'll just try and park as close to the ground as possible I suppose to minimise the amount of time between car and ground....

Guest reading-gas Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Did you say 'trouble'?What, from the Evening Post sponsored FAMILY CLUB? .... Never! Now don't be silly. We all know that we have our idiots, as do your lot. The idiots will be out in force tomorrow night, so if I were you lot I wouldn't wear colours. I didn't wear colours to your hovel last week, to minimize the risk of trouble.I want to wear colours, I want to support our club on a fantastic occasion for BRISTOL not just us. Don't be tempted to go down a side street, much safer sticking to the main roads where the reasonable people will be.
