Guest Weav Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Hello all,Just got into work and on the way i was listening to GWR fm (not the most reliable source i know) but they said that tomorrows game is in real danger, because its due to rain today and all day tomorrow.........is the mem pitch really that bad? Ive got tickets in the uncovered terrace, anyone want to swap...
Guest Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Well at the moment its blue sky and glorious sunshine in BS3, GeoffA just looked at his nerdy hand gliding weather stats or something and said today should be fine but rest of the week its going to rain.I reckon A&S will force the game to go ahead myself.

GrahamC Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 It'll be on now Rovers have had their rest, do you honestly think the postponement on Saturday was about anything else?
Guest STA-BS14 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Perhaps Steve Phillips "bristols #1" was being breast fed and couldnt make the game

Portishead Red Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 ..Heavy rain on its way this afternoon continuing all day tomorrow (although its bright sunshine and blue sky here in Portishead!) is threatening tomorrows game. They're a radio station, what do they know.... But this is the gas..............
Bristol Boy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 ..Heavy rain on its way this afternoon continuing all day tomorrow (although its bright sunshine and blue sky here in Portishead!) is threatening tomorrows game. They're a radio station, what do they know.... But this is the gas. Forecast is for sun & clouds today and light rain + wind (which helps things dry as far as I remember)-Pretty warm for this time of year to boot!RegardsM.Fish
Guest east_dundry_red Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 or maybe they can just put the covers on the pitch?Amazing idea!!!!
Portishead Red Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 or maybe they can just put the covers on the pitch?Amazing idea!!!!far to simple.............http://www.metoffice.co.uk/seems ok today but rain, heavy at times, all day and night tomorrow.
bringbacktherobin Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 If they don't protect their pitch probably then they shouldn't even bother to play the game. If its going to rain you have to put the covers on, its common sense but then i suppose they are gas so don't have any.Its their biggest game for years and years so I'm pretty sure its going to go ahead.
Guest Paul Hudd Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Its all a game.....!The game will be off and played next week and shown on SKY!!!!!!!I can see this a mile off!
Matty H Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75696Already way ahead of ya. If the pitch isn't covered then tomorrows game WILL be off
frenchred Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Just putting the covers on now according to BBC!!
Guest seesaw Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Its all a game.....!The game will be off and played next week and shown on SKY!!!!!!!I can see this a mile off!Yeah and me, sure sky are gagging to show us instead of Champions League
Guest Hoops Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 It'll be on now Rovers have had their rest, do you honestly think the postponement on Saturday was about anything else?100% true! They were watering the ground whilst it was raining.Certain players were due to be rested for their CUP FINAL but then the delusion of making the play offs kicked in so the watering cans came out.FACT!
robins72 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 100% true! They were watering the ground whilst it was raining.Certain players were due to be rested for their CUP FINAL but then the delusion of making the play offs kicked in so the watering cans came out.FACT! If thats the case they should get fined and recouperate the costs of the away fans that travelled down to Bristol. Makes an even bigger mockery of what Trollope said on the radio today too. At least admit that you did it because you have no chance of getting in the pray-offs rovers!!
icamanicity Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 And finally the submarine can be seen!!!!!!!! Sorry couldn't resist having a pop at the crapholeIs it a "yellow submarine"...
robins72 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 ......a fine and points deduction for the Gas is the way forward - there are a 1,000 or so disgruntled Stockport fans that made the journey - they must be appeased !!!!!!The Gas, The Gas - we gotta get rid of the Gas !!!!!!Up the CityGet rid of the gas
rumbellow Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Strange that the Gas were the only league side to suffer a postponment on saturday..............
